I don’t shop there regularly. I’ve been there a handful of times over the years - first as Penn Cycle and now as Freewheel - but I’ve always, always had very positive experiences.

I wish I had brought my bike here sooner. I had my bike serviced at a different bike shop last season and had problems with my chain all summer, even after bringing it back to the same shop multiple times. This year, I decided to bring my bike to Freewheel, and I am so glad I did! They fixed my chain issues, and the service overall was way better. I will definitely recommend this shop to family and friends.

From my initial visit to the store, Chris was incredibly informative and helpful. His dog, cutie that she is, greeted me as well. He found exactly what I needed for a single bike rack for my SUV. Upon pickup of the bike rack, Ben was truly amazing. A very professional, helpful and kind young man explained to me what he was doing while he assembled the bike rack. How I could find the manual online for it and then made sure that I was fully comfortable with the rack itself and loading my bike onto it. What a wonderful experience with multiple people. I feel very confident that I made the right choice for myself.

The technician who fixed my bike was very knowledgeable and helpful: As he fixed my flat tire, he explained the less obvious factors that can lead to a flat tire that I was previously unaware of.

My wife loves her terra trike EVO. Freewheel in Bloomington was the place I called that was able to answer questions over the phone and Chris shared even more info when we got to the store for a rest ride. Anyone who asks us about hers will be told that is the place to go to get one.

Chris G was very helpful and informative. He made sure the unit we bought had all the latest
update to the software for the terra trike. There was a problem with an electrical control and Chris was on it. There was some technical difficulty with the update, and we ended up having to wait an hour to get it taken care of! Chris apologized and gave us a couple of free goodies for the inconvenience.

Freewheel has a great selection of bikes at reasonable prices. They take the time to listen, and then recommend options that will meet your needs.

But what I like most is their service after the sale. They do great work, and fix it right the firtst time. When they are busy, they give you a date to bring in your bike, and then get the work done by the end of the next day. So you only miss a day or two of riding in the short MN summer.

I first bought a bike from Freewheel in 1974. I have been a customer ever since.
