Ability to find some solution for us

I placed an order for a bike stand. A week after placing the order i was told the only item left was a display model. I specifically asked it there was ANY damage to the display model and was told none at all. I then purchased the item at a small discount. Finally i received the item 2.5 weeks after i ordered it (which was late and arrived after Christmas - it was a gift) and the item was damaged. There were several large obvious scratches and spots that were missing paint. In addition to the damage, one of the essential pieces necessary to put the stand together was missing. Therefore i literally could not build the stand and the item was useless. I contacted the store and explained the situation and had to explain that i am an attorney and was seeking to avoid potential litigation in order to receive a refund. I then had to spend more time packaging back up and delivering to ups to return and await an eventual refund. Overall the whole process was a gigantic waste of my time. It was a huge disappointment to my family as it was a gift. And the staff at the store either lied or were very careless in how they handled the situation. I will NEVER purchase from this company again. In addition, i will happily tell any fellow biking enthusiast who asks about my experience and strongly recommend they avoid purchasing anything from this store. It was one of the worst retail experiences o have ever had. The incompetence and indifference is inexcusable. Quite frankly i hope the business does not survive. In a free market economy it has no business existing.

Due to Covid bike purchases are hard to come by and I want to thank The Bike Lane for allowing me to put a deposit on a bike and keeping in touch throughout the entire time it took for the bike to come in.
