Staff are great!
I have been recommending The Bike Lane to all my friends since I became a customer when I bought 2 bikes with you this year, and have been pleasantly spoiled by all staff, especially Owen, who is always ready to assist me with competence, promptness and kindness. I have always been very satisfied in all aspects, services, variety of products and especially the beers!
I am only giving this rating now because the last time I took the bikes for lifetime minor adjustments, I specifically spoke about the problem of the gear shifter, that the chain was hitting and making noise. But when I returned home I realized that the problem was still there, and it seemed that nothing had been done to the bike. Since I don't live near the store (Bethesda, MD), it is frustrating to have to take the bike in again to have the service done. I know that nothing is perfect and this happens, I just wanted to put it on record here. Other than that, I'm a fan of your store!
This shop is awesome, the mechanic was very helpful and addressed the issue I was having with my bike. Very fast turnaround too. Best shop around.

The Bike Lane Reston, best shop ever? Fast turn-around and fair price on a repair for a new bike that was damaged in shipping. Just in time to ride for the holiday weekend. New bike day saved!
Todd was very helpful in finding me my first adult bike. He is really knowledgeable and clearly very passionate about sharing biking with others. Also the beer was great!

Felt a little rushed, instead of just letting me look around
The Bike Lane was recommended by one of my coworkers. This was my first visit. From the moment I walked in the door everyone was friendly and helpful. I had a flat tire. They investigated the source and then showed it to me so I would know what to look for next time. Since it was my first visit, they comped the labor charge and then invited me back to try one of their beers. I loved the overall atmosphere. As far as first impressions go, you guys knocked it out of the park!

Soooooooooo, Tom was a bit pushy! As a matter of fact, he was pushy! He needs to be less pushy, less aggressive, and more knowledgeable about the product which he is selling.
God awful customer service. Both times I visited to place my order and then pick it up, it took forever to speak to someone at the counter. Staff are either busy talking to regulars or not prioritizing customers in line versus other tasks. Lastly, when the product was finally handed to me, the box was in tatters.
Tom Brown was very helpful and provided a lot of useful information.
He was patient and listened to what I was looking for and knew exactly what to suggest.

Store associates were very helpful, and attentive when servicing my new bike. I originally ordered another bike that got delayed, and they worked with me to find another option.
You guys are always great with helping/ being honest + fixing stuff. Sincerely appreciate you . $30 for a spoke replacement is a little steep but otherwise you and your team always do a great job. Only place I'll go for repairs on my bike
