The staff at the Vanderbilt location were so very helpful! Chad was the main person that helped me, but a couple of his colleagues also helped too. I was very impressed by Chad's calm helpful demeanor with zero arrogance! I'd definitely go back.

Number and quality of offerings and ease of purchase
The service at the repair shop was fantastic. The gentleman presented options and pricing in an upfront manner as we negotiated a fix for my bike's problem. The retail store comes with a little bit too much pretentiousness in my experiences. I think the staff might benefit from taking an entry level improv class to better meet people where they're at, rather than overwhelm them with a sense of superiority and bike knowledge. Very cringey as the kids say.

Found a single speed at good price
A bit more attention to detail would be good. I came in to have the cables on my folding bike extended and the cable has a special spring mechanism to pull the cable when the bike is unfolded. The mechanic must not have made note of how this was configured on the bike because when I initially came to pick the bike up it was not installed correctly at all. Although ultimately I got the spring mechanism installed correctly and mechanic and the rest of the staff were helpful and accommodating, a bit more attention to detail in the initial work would have been nice.
The professional, talented, friendly crew is what has kept me coming back to Bicycle Habitat for a long time. Every time I get my bike tuned up it feels like they have given me a brand new bike. I've always been satisfied in their service and their products. Appreciate all of you at Bicycle Habitat!
Elvis was so helpful!! I went to 5 local bike shops in the area, and this was the first one where I got the help and selection I was looking for. I walked out with exactly the bike I needed and felt very supported along the way.
I needed my crank, chain, derailleur and disc rotors installed on my new bike. I went to Bicycle Habitat on Vanderbilt and the mechanic tried charging me $300! I was shocked and decided not to go through with it. Then I went to the Bicycle Habitat on 5th ave and he charged me half of the price at $146. I was super thankful I went to the other store, but annoyed that the mechanic at the Vanderbilt store tried to rip me off. I will only go to the 5th ave store for now on as they did a great job on my bike and were super honest and friendly.
There should be similar prices between stores. I get a small difference, but charging me double the amount is absolutely insane.

Well we very much appreciated the speedy service. But I was surprised by the Price for a tire. I would have preferred options. While I'm sure it's a good tire maybe a quick discussion can be part of the service.
