I needed a new headset which was not readily available; staff ordered for me the part needed and when it came in they did the labor to replace it. I had no issues and my bike is now like new for me.

I appreciate their professionalism however both my husband and I had extensive repair work done on our bikes and I was surprised that Bicycle Habitat couldn't include a cleaning of the bikes as part of the service.

There is no other bike shop in Brooklyn that I could find to offer the internal hub cleaning my xtra-cycle bike required. And yet, its an affordable repair! Bike Habitat is performing an important role in the community offering such a wide range of cargo bike repairs.
Great service, very politely explained what needed to be done. Quick work and any confusion was cleared up well. Opposite of bike shops that are pretentious, would return again.
Came in with a problem they had a solution. They were efficient, effective and fabulous customer service.

There seems to be only one Canyon bike shop in NYC that is solely focused on that type of bike. I really appreciate the fast turnaround time and the expert mechanics that you have. The managers by the front desk know their stuff and help you swiftly. The bike shop took care of my bicycle and put it out of sight and out of mind when not in use. I really appreciate everything they have done for me. My bike is working great!!

The price quoted for the tune up + parts replacement was too high for me, so I retrieved my bike without executing any work. But what really drove this low score and my low likelihood of recommending Bicycle Habitat is that I was charged an "estimate fee" that was not disclosed to me when I dropped off my bike. I was told to leave the bike and that I'd get an email with a quote for what needed to be done, which I thought was convenient. But at no point did anyone share that the estimate fee was being incurred.
