Efficient, friendly, and clear-communicating service.
Late 2025 when we visited twice for my 12 year old to test ride (and eventually buy) a bike, we were super pleased with the patient & helpful sales service and with help fitting (stem) the new bike for her.
I swung by yesterday for a repair which needed a replacement crank arm, and also asked to adjust the shifting to eliminate or minimize chain rub, and was wowed by how quickly a mechanic was able to get to me and then finish both tasks. Couldn't have been in the shop more than 10 minutes, including explaining my issues to the register person and waiting for the mechanic to free up, before everything was done.

I purchaced a Trek from the Vanderbilt location, and the staff was knowledgable, helpful, and not at all pushy or aggresssive.
I can’t believe how awesome my bike feels after they changed my broken crank setup. They had previously repaired my front fork connection but this time I asked if they “could make my bike more sexy” and they hit the nail on the head with two new tire’s and a 165mm crank setup. As soon as I left the bike shop on fifth Avenue I heard a woman whistle at me like it was a construction site and I was a sweet piece of tush. Only downside is every time I ride my bike people treat me like a piece of USDA beefcake but I’m a human being. Thank you so much bicycle habitat. I might ask them to turn the sexy down a notch when I go back to change my rear sprocket and chain.
I appreciate Bicycle Habitat primarily because I can rely on their service and the knowledgeable staff who are experts in everything related to bikes.

Helpful friendly service when I came in to pick up my Canyon bike newly assembled. Kate in particular was super friendly, answered all my questions, and helped me find some gear I needed for the new bike. I’ll be back to help my bf get his gear together for summer riding!

I felt rushed out the store while picking up a bike purchased off the specialized website. Even when I purchased a $350 lock for it. I didnt not receive the extra springs that came with my bike and would have loved to know that there was no sealant added to my tubeless tires.
I also noticed the tires did not seem to be at the full psi but I wasn't sure if I was wrong or not, still felt like there was no time for anyone to answer my questions.
After riding back home to Brooklyn, the following morning I had a flat. I would of loved some sort of courtesy being the owner of a brand new $2500 bike to ask some questions and not be rushed out.
Very professional service. Work was done earlier than expected.

I really appreciated the discussion of different options for the basket and the thoughtful way the mechanic discussed various options, ideas, potential issues, etc. Execution of plan and install of basket was good workmanship.
