I was very impressed by the knowledge and communication skills of the employees in Trek's Clarence Street store. Very friendly and helpful with section of the bike lights I needed and also provided excellent information on the new Trek Madone I was admiring during my visit. I was convinced by Charlie and the team - in a nice and not pushy way - that this will be my next bike when I can save up enough. This was the best experience of my dozens of bike store visits in recent years and while not a loyal Trek consumer, their approach to customers makes me very serious about becoming a Trek man.

I had a really great experience with Jo (woman Jo - though I’m sure male Jo is great too). She was friendly, professional, and not pushy, which immediately put me at ease.
Jo kicked off with asking good questions upfront about what I wanted to get out of the bike, what I’d be using it for, and the context of replacing an older bike. That set a clear foundation and meant the recommendations actually made sense for me. The whole conversation felt considered and tailored, not like I was getting swindled into something.
By contrast, I’d also visited a different store to compare options. The experience there couldn’t have been more different. I was steered towards a bike I hadn’t asked about, with very few questions about what I was actually looking for. The majority of the sales experience, the staff member spoke to my boyfriend about the bike rather than to me, and then continued to push a model that, had they asked a few basic questions, they would have known wasn’t right for my needs.
It was genuinely a night-and-day experience. Jo made the decision a really easy one. Cheers to Jo!
