From the moment you walk into the shop, it’s like going to view the Crown Jewels: bikes to drool over, and to dream of taking to the hills—downhill dives, rapid descents, and sharp, challenging climbs. How many gears? Really!
Then there are the over-the-counter smiles and the glint of recognition. Your new bike is ready. The excitement of the MTB overpowers the pain of the cost.
Three weeks later, the bike is booked in for its first F1-style pit stop. It took ages to clean—worth it. Wheels checked, chain inspected, brakes adjusted.
“If you’re doing a lot of downhill over the next couple of weeks, you’ll need new brake pads!”
Then I noticed a new addition to the display: an MTB with electric assist for the climbs. I remembered the mountains of Scotland, and I had to buy it.
Back home: “Not another bike!”
But then, you can never have enough bikes.
Workshop fixed my bike. Came across very knowledgeable and very professional.
Advised me about other issues the bike had which they could fix while in the workshop.
Bike shop has a good stock of bikes and components. It’s nice to actually see and touch the items instead of just going by a picture online. All round good experience.
