My wife and I and more importantly our soon to be 6 year old boy visited The Proper Bike Shop this weekend. A great independent establishment. It is, as the name suggests, a proper bike shop. Very chilled. No pressure to buy. We spent quite a while trying and riding different bikes to make sure we were happy in getting the right one.
Clearly all involved in runnning the shop are enthusiasts and very knowledgeable.
No doubt we'll be back.

The people that work here could not be more helpful. I used my Cycle to Work voucher here because I wanted a physical shop for after care with buying an expensive bike. They have been top notch ever since. They really go out of their way to help you out: whether it is a £5 part you are after or a new bike. Cannot recommend them highly enough.
