Customer Testimonials
Good selection , pleasant staff on hand when required , appreciate not having a sales assistant bothering me whilst I browse .
Good price and service. Thanks
I had a fantastic experience buying my new Colnago V5RS from WHEELBASE, Ilkley. From the moment I walked in, Dom were welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about cycling. Dom took the time to explain the differences between the various Colnago models, answered all of my questions in detail, and helped me choose the bike that was the perfect fit for my needs, without any pressure.
The bike was professionally built, thoroughly tested, and handed over in immaculate condition. Theo also took the time to ensure the bike was correctly set up for me and offered helpful advice on maintenance and getting the most out of it.
It’s refreshing to find a local bike shop that combines exceptional customer service with honest and expert advice. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase and the overall experience. I highly recommend Wheelbase to anyone looking for quality bikes, outstanding service, and a team that truly cares about their customers!
Old fashioned personal service, very helpful.
Extremely happy with all aspects of researching / purchasing my new bike. Prompt reply to my initial email. Patient, helpful and knowledgeable sales person - thanks Simon!. Unpressured test ride. Easy online payment after receipt of quote. Bike prepared and collected the next day - comprehensive demonstration of unfamiliar features. And, of course, a great new bike with ongoing support as necessary including first service FOC. Faultless.
Fantastic guys very professional and friendly
Prompt and helpful response to initial questions and always good friendly service
The guys saved our holiday. After a fall, the gear mechanism—specifically the derailleur hanger—was completely bent. Even though the guys were surely very busy, we were able to pick up the bike again after two hours. We visited Inverness Castle while we waited...

The individual service and advice was great.
Good value, very strong. Excellent knowledge by staff and very helpful, perfect for a novice like me. Clean store. Well laid out and great choice of products.
Excellent quality bikes and great mountain biking trials.
Friendly and knowledgeable service.
Great service from Cycles UK, Greenwich! They had my Trek FX 3 ready in just 4 days, especially considering the bike had to be ordered in and the accessories had to be fitted. A special mention to Sonny, who was very helpful and accommodating even though the store was quite busy. I bought the bike through the Cycle Scheme, and they didn’t redeem the voucher until they handed over the bike fully fitted with all the accessories, which was comforting. They also included the first service free.
Probably the best customer service I’ve received in any shop not just a bike shop. Amazing level of care and patience and knowledge

Super helpful staff and aftercare is amazing.
Responsive service
Bike serviced and puncture repaired efficiently. Dropped off in the afternoon and could have collected at the end of the day
Even when they are very busy, they still have time to talk to you as an equal, and if the team can help/or repair the issue you are having, at the time or on that day, one of them will do their up most to help fix the problem, and they keep you informed. There is a wait of a week or more for big repairs or service, but the team provides a great service and sales.
