Maybe I was mistaken by the level of cleaning I purchased, but they really didn't clean as much (or as thoroughly) as I expected.

I have only had two visits thus far, but was told that the first one was a "deep clean". It's a $300 cleaning, and I owe that full amount if I cancel the service within a year. However, I do not feel like I received a $300 top to bottom cleaning as was explained to me. We were told two people usually arrive for that cleaning and only one came. There are cobwebs on the ceilings that I would have expected would have been covered in this cleaning. My husband's nightstand was still dusty after their cleaning, a hall mirror wasn't cleaned, my son's floor had dust and dirt under his desk that wasn't cleaned up. I was disappointed. I am hoping the cleanings going forward are better, but do not feel like I got my $300's worth in that first cleaning.
your staff was very personable and helpful. on very short notice they were available and professional.
There appears to be a general lack of attention to detail. I don't feel like my house is as clean as it should be after you complete your service.
My home is mostly clutter free and I am very clean so I would expect more.

This was a cleaning for a small empty apartment. Kitchen, bathroom and 3 small carpeted rooms. No furniture, no dusting, just vacuuming and then the kitchen and bathroom. I paid $210 for this service. The refrigerator was not cleaned, nor any other appliance. Not one drawer was opened or cleaned and no cabinets were cleaned out. I had explained I was moving out of this apartment and it was empty.
I had thought $210 was expensive for an empty apartment but being recently diagnosed with breast cancer while I was trying to move, it was one thing I thought I wouldn't have to worry about and it wouldn't expose me to cleaning chemicals either. I was wrong.
I needed to find someone to go back and clean what I THOUGHT I had paid for and pay them to clean what Merry Maids did not.
It was never explained that there would be areas that were not cleaned when I scheduled this service. Maybe it was my fault for assuming that $210 included things like that in an EMPTY apartment.
I am extremely disappointed. I will not use nor will I recommend Merry Maids to anyone. I have already told many people about my experience and advised them to find another service if they are looking for cleaning services.
The office staff is awesome. Always willing to listen and try to correct the issues immediately. The cleaning staff is just ok. They are very polite but the cleaning is just ok. I have had private cleaning services in the past and I feel that the cleaning I have had in the past has been less expensive and more thorough. We are trying to decide now whether we want to continue with the service or pay the large fee to back out.

While nothing is "Bad" enough to call back - sometimes the furniture has a greasy film on them after they have been wiped. One room sometimes is not vac'd

When I met with the sales woman She described what the person who came to clean would do. She said she would start at the ceiling getting cobwebs and dusting the ceiling fans, then wipe wipe down tops of window trim and sills and basically she would work her way down to the floors. in the kitchen she said she would do the same with cobwebs and that she would also wipe down the face of the cabinets clean the microwave wipe down stove and counters etc. after the cleaner came I came home and she had not wiped the top of the window and door trim she had not gotten the cobwebs she did not wipe the face of the cabinets. and quite honestly I felt like i was mislead and I never would have paid 265 dollars to have someone once over my house. I hired merry maids as a birthday present for my wife to give her a break I should have given her an afternoon at the spa. I will never hire merry maids again and I go out of my way to make sure to let other friends know that its not worth it.
there wasa list of things to be done but due to my husband illness I asked that they leave the Master Bedroom alone but to do the bathroom. cabinets were not cleaned in bath and kitchen. laundry room was not touched,some items in bathroom not completely clean.
This was thelast gift from my husband who passed 2 days after it was done. I havent check my charge account but I hope there is a Credit applied, It was not worth $273. As for making it right, no need, now I have all the time ro correct it
For what I am paying, I'd like to see the house spotless. I am feeling a little disappointed because it seems that if there is a focus on one room, the others pay the price. We have dogs here and dust. I expect that regardless of where the focus has been the hair and dust will be taken care of. This is not always the case. Having said that, the girls are super nice and eager to please.

The quality of the cleaning is not as great as cleaning services I have used in the past. I always find spider webs, dust, grime, etc. when I get home immediately after a cleaning. The bathroom shower door is also always grimey.
I have also had several scheduling problems.
They always call to double check- the house smells great!
I now have a person who comes to my home consistently and they know what they have done one the previous week and what is needed- this is in addition to what Merry Maids "states" they will focus on with that cleaning; which may not really be needed in my home.
Green products, consistent service.
We like the women who come to our house and do the cleaning and your office staff. The cleaning products do not leave any long lasting odors and to the job to our satisfaction and then some. Thanks for asking.
Lately the cleaning hasn't been up to par. Furthermore, my phone calls haven't been responded to in a timely fashion or at all.

We hired a branch of your company to do a thorough cleaning of our new house before we moved in. We went through the whole house for an estimate and contracted them to do a one-time cleaning of the entire house, including all the appliances and cabinets in the kitchen and inside a bench in the stairwell. After they did their "cleaning," the cabinets and bench were not done at all, the floors were still dusty, the oven and refrigerator were still dirty, and there was still dust/cobwebs all over the house. We complained about the cabinets not being done and they claimed that they didn't have it in their notes (although we had it in our copy of the contract and we were charged for them). They made no comments or apologies regarding our comments about the quality of the other work and the work that was not done, but did refund us $109 from the previous quote. They also returned the keys one day later than they said they would without any communication. There's a more thorough review on Angie's List.
