Responsive. Great service.
Edgar, the mechanic, was able to help me with my rear derailleur when I was in a pinch. I didn’t have an appointment and had a 75 mile training ride the following morning. Edgar took the time out of his busy schedule to get my bike running properly and did it with a great attitude and a smile. Wonderful customer service!
Inventory, and knowledgeable staff
When I spoke to one of the managers, I was telling him I had issues with replacing a cassette to a new wheel set I purchased. Apparently the hub on the new wheels were different than the ones I bought. One was designed for a hybrid between shimano and campy, the other was strictly shimano. In any case I couldn’t figure out why the lock ring couldn’t fit so I asked him about it and/or what tool should I use. His response was that’s impossible, all free hubs are the same size. and the other was due to an unusual size. When I told him that this was not the case, he became defensive and argumentative. I told him I was simply asking a question and he said it looks like you’re “just wound up and that maybe you should go to a Starbucks while we work on you’re wheel set”. I said, no I’ll just wait. I’ve been coming here for years and even bought a bike here, but this last experience was completely negative and confrontational. Wilburb, one of the mechanics was very patient and explained the issues which was just a simple swap of the lock ring for a shimano lock ring. I told him I just wanted to know what the issue was and he was very helpful. But the manager, not really sure what his title is, was completely rude and disrespectful. I like the shop over all but I’m not going back there is people are just going to argue with customers. Completely unprofessional.

I like the fact that when I need some kind of ermergency service eg: flat tire they fix it for me right away and don't give me a big run-around. I also liked the personalized service I got when I bought my bike about 8 months ago. They let me try the bike out 3 times before I bought it and were patient and professional every time. They give good service and that's why I use them.

First time getting my Zizzo Liberte (my commuter bike) serviced at Helen’s Cucles and I’m very happy with the service. Replaced my brakes, saw areas needing service that I didn’t see and overall improved my ride. Thank you!

Location is very nice with ample parking. Wide selections of Bikes and accessories. Frank the Salesperson is very helpful and knowledgeable. He hook me up with the bike i really want. From start to finish he help me with all the techs add on till i paid and happily brought the bike home. I feel like I was at ease and was treated like family by everyone in the store.
Frank gave me the best advice for purchasing a bike frame and accessories. He helped me find a road bike that can handle some light gravel, even though you didn’t have it in stock. He’s been incredibly useful and I plan to come back to Helen’s Cycles for all my cycling needs.

The Helen's employees, especially the friendly, longtime employees like Adam, Monte, Mike, and the entire group of great mechanics, are all very knowledgeable and helpful.
For many, many years, Jay Wolff and Helen's Cycles have supported all of the local cycling clubs as well as charitable organizations and events like the Boys and Girls Club and the AIDS Ride.

After over several weeks of unsuccessful searches on my area I end up finding the bike size and price range that I was looking for at Helens Cycles of Beverly. It has been a pleasant purchase experience with the knowledgeable help of Ernesto and I'm already planning a purchase of a custom-made dream bike on the near future! Raff.
