Staff is awesome!
Your place is great. Bought my ebike there and have gotten it serviced twice... service and service people are great. Only downside are your prices. I always see your stuff for less other places so its usually a hard call for me ... but for now I spring for it until it gets to the point where the prices cross my pain threshold.

Monty is the best! He totally took care of my major purchase, from the very beginning, through ordering exactly the specs I wanted on my Project One bike, and yesterday spending copious amounts of time with me, making sure I understood every little detail about my new bike. There are a few other bike stores closer to me, but I prefer to drive further, to Helen's... for the excellent care and service. This is the third bike I've purchased from Helen's.
I came in one 5/31/2023 with my son who was interested in possibly starting to cycle. Having an array of road bikes myself for him to use we were in need for road shoes and a bib. Salesperson new our needs and never once tried to up sale me on equipment my son might never need. They were also very accommodating in getting the bike I was allowing my son to use road worthy . Thank you to the staff for their help and honesty.

Bike was in stock in multiple sizes; and it was easy to schedule test ride.
Ian fully prepped bike to test with my pedals & approx adjustments. He also answered many questions stemming from this being my first road bike
The shop team gave the bike a full check before I took it out the door; they also adjusted a few things later in the day after I rode for a bit.
Service was quick, friendly, informative, and in-person. It was what a bike shop experience should be.
I got my bike serviced and the staff was amazing!! The bikes and equipment are top notch

Super professional service department, I’m 60 years old and was born and raised in Santa Monica my dad bought me my first bike in the 60’s from Helen Cycles and they have always been the go to bike shop, great mechanics, and a awesome sales department , thanks for all your help 💯

Unnecessarily changed tires (my existing ones had plenty of tread and were already tubeless ready) and then installed mismatching valves (one Schreader and one presta). I tried to call about it and was told it’s normal to do this and not to worry about it. I’ve gotten 4 outside opinions and nobody agrees with that practice.
There isn't a bike shop in the history of bike shops that cares more about their customers than Helen's.
