Expensive shipping
I grew up in Santa Monica and got my bikes repaired at Helen’s. 35 years later, I’m still buying my bikes and getting repairs done there because I’m treated well and love the staff
Super speedy! And super honest about what a cyclist really needs. A little pricey, but I can only imagine how hard it is to keep a brick-and-mortar bike store open in the age of Amazon. Plus you can find answers and expertise at I. Martin Imports you can't find on Amazon. So it's well worth it!

The guy who took my bike, said it would take 5 days, but I came in the next day and spoke with the actual repair guy who said he most likely could get it done same day as they were slow. He fixed it before close on a Sunday and we were able to get the bke back in 2 days rather than 5. So grateful for the help.
