As always, I love the abuse!
I've been buying bikes from Mike and his family at Chain Reaction for almost 30 years. They have always delivered caring customer service. I wouldn't buy a bike from anyone else.
They have great service and do many adjustments and minor repairs at no cost!! Try finding another shop that will do that!!!
The service was perfect. I was able to have my bike serviced quickly.
Our salesperson, whose name I believe is Becky, was EXCELLENT. (To make sure I am identifying her correctly, she was due to have shoulder surgery last fall).
The greatest thing was that Becky quickly assessed the right stem length and angle for the bike -- changing it out to the correct configuration before my test ride of the Domane SL-6 which I purchased from CR in 9/21.
On evaluation just yesterday, my husband & I verified that my Ritchey travel bike (not ridden since the new bike purchase) needs to have the handlebar stem shortened and raised to match the correct configuration on the new bike.
I have ridden the new bike about 1600 miles since the purchase last September, and this bike has been really fantastic.
There was one little "hiccup" in that early on there was the sensation of the seat post slipping inside the frame. From an on line suggestion, we used electrical tape to wind around the seat post to add to the diameter -- and knock on wood this problem has not recurred.
I sometimes refer to this new bike as my "e-bike" because it is so fast and glides so well. I love the disc brakes and the low pressure 32 mm tires.

Outstanding service and product technical knowledge from Steve. He also threw in plenty of patience as I rattled thru my lists of questions pre and post sale. Also appreciated that this is a family business - very rare find in a world of direct-from-manufacturer, big box retail etc. I was perfectly comfortable leaving my "everything" behind the desk (clunky keys, phone, wallet) to make my test ride comfortable.
Test ride - felt well equipped with safety lights and the printed route map was a neat touch.
Kevin helped me find a Trek Fuel EX7...and took the time to explain some of the non-obvious differences from my road bike and old MTB. I appreciate all the practical advice you guys offer, and that it is anchored in our local conditions.
