Unfortunately I don’t live near the redwood city facility but my experience at Los Altos was always good. Service was a cut above other places. I also appreciate the hard work the owner has done on behalf of the cycling community.
Chain Reaction Bicycles (CRB) took the time to determine exactly what I needed, above and beyond what other neighboring shops, where they sold me what I thought I needed but never interjected into what would have better served my biking needs. Was looking for a wahoo kicker core and they were listed as a studio for them. Drove up from San Jose to check it out and am I glad I did! Though they do have quite a range of selection, it was a lot more high-end things than I expected. The chain stores are fine for the odd tool or innertube, but it was nice to see a brick-and-mortar store that isn’t limited by what the casual cycling public will consume in mass. I got the impression from the guys working there that it really didn’t matter what your price point was, you’re going to get the same high level of service. Will definitely be doing more business there in the future. Oh, and they had the full range from wahoo, in case you were wondering
