1) you need to have a groomer. My dog came home this time and was rinsed off I suppose but when you don't blow dry a dog and comb it properly they get mats. My wrist is broken and I can't groom her so now I have to pay for a groomer to comb her out
2. My dog had a potential emergency during this stay and it was fortunately handled quickly ,but this brought up some issues. My dog was lethargic. I noticed it on the webcam. She was lying in the toy box room not even picking up her head to look at other dogs. When I called they said she'd been sleeping for half an hour. She also hadn't been eating well so I was concerned .That worried me and I asked for them to please take her to the local emergency room. At first I was told it would take 2 hours to get her there and that was because they didn't have someone with a car that they could spare. I later suggested they call an Uber but by that time they were able to take her to the vet. My concern is, what happens if she had been attacked by another dog or passed out completely or had an urgent emergency?. I'm feeling a little uncomfortable knowing that there could be a delay of up to 2 hours or more to get help for the dog I also realize that I don't know if anyone's there overnight. What happens if there's a fire or a flood?
3. It bothers me a little bit that the person in the room with her didn't consider her behavior to be unusual. . It wasn't her first day and even for any dog to not even look up at other dogs standing right next to her should alarm them. I also wish the dogs had more interaction with the leader. Unless they playwith another dog they just lay around all day

Friendly knowledgeable staff, everyone always remembers my dogs name (he is a very memorable guy!!), the very best groomer on staff. Everyone seems to be committed to making sure my dogs are happy and well cared for. I also love that dogs are divided by play style. Love that they have a program to remind us if someone needs a vaccination. Helps me to remember to take my dog for a timely vet visit. Just as important, I know dogs they are playing with are healthy.

Love parent nights. More of those would be ideal. Longer weekend hours, or earlier opening hours on weekends, or no crating for meals on weekends if same hours could be ideal. Camera access during night boarding would be comforting. Love the staff

Enjoyed having happy rescue dogs. I drive across the county to give them the kind and compassionate care they deserve. Met one of the owners the kst time—she is a senior citizen like me—and was on-site, meeting clients and escorting dogs. It feels like ‘family’ to me. They do exactly what I need—and do not upsell. I saw large dogs while I was there—but my little ones got great care, despite how busy they were.

I love a few things about Dogtopia. I love that you have a half-day option. I'm retired and I don't need my two dogs to have day care on the regular. But I like to bring them there for hours of fun and play. I also like that you have the option for spa services. I have often have my two dogs get baths after they play. Lastly, I like that my dogs can play, even when the weather is not good. Here in the SF Bay Area, it can be too hot in the summer or raining in the winter.
