The directions to assemble were good. I did have some problems. My handle bars had spacers and they were not clearly specified in list of materials. I called , got a human and moved on. Had a problem with cable controlled seat post but was able to watch a YouTube video to figure it out.

A friend sent me a link to a pair of bike shorts at trekbikes.com. I liked being able to see the size chart and to view different images of the shorts on models so I could tell how they might fit me. It was easy to place my order. The messages with shipping and tracking information that I received were accurate.

I love the bike! I love the way I was able to pick it up from the store, who added several accessories to it for me. Riding it has been smooth. I am not hunched over which I didn’t want to be with just commuting. It is prefect for commuting in the Menlo Park Ca area.

My experience was fine. It would be nice to purchase these at Wholesale as I have a small bike store.

I liked that the item I purchased was so readily available! I had purchased a new light from my LBS (West Michigan Bike and Fitness) prior to a trip I took on the Great Allegheny Passage last month. Unfortunately, the that lamp was stolen during the trip. So I needed to find a new one to replace it.
If I have any qualms about the experience with TREK, it was that the online price undercut the price for the same lamp at my LBS. As they are a TREK store, how is it that you compete with your own retailers? I like having a local shop where I can speak face to face with the experts and have my questions answered up front, or do some problem solving with them. I visit them first for most cycling related purchases.
I have owned two TREK bicycles in the past 40+ years of cycling, both purchased there. This LBS also now sells the Terra Trike Recumbent Tricycle line, and between my husband and I, we have bought 5 trikes over the last 13 years there. I have always bought Bontrager cycling shoes and helmets,, SPD pedals and maintenance supplies from my LBS. You can imagine there are plenty of questions for attaching bicycle components and accessories to recumbent frames. I would think that rather than competing with them, prices online and in the LBS should be nearly similar. I think you're shooting them in the foot!
