I’ve lost count of number of Trek bikes that I’ve bought since 1995. I think I’m up to 10. All of the bikes have been hybrids that could be used in multiple settings and surfaces. I’ve never been disappointed with the quality of the bike or the quality of service provided by various bike stores specializing in Trek bikes.
Most recently, I bought a Trek FX6 Sport. We’ve had issues with making sure that the geometry of the bike which is Large, and which Trek says fits my height and inseam dimensions, actually fits and is amenable to my riding style. After numerous changes with pedals, stem length, stem angle, adjustable stem, seat post offsets and different seats utilizing various angles adjustments and not being successful,
I decided on my own, to go back to original bike set up and try on my own. I’m now close to fine tuning blender stem length, fixed stem angle, seat post offsets and changed seat to a Selle Royal to havie bike meet my expectations and make riding fun again. I especially enjoy the SRAM shifting system that has revolutionized my riding experience exponentially.
I’m a very active athletic 77 year old male. I can foresee the FX6 taking me thousands of more miles into my 80’s.

Ordered a cover/plug for the seat post bolt location on the frame. Was pleased it came in the Pennyflake color. Was not pleased that I had to use clear silicone glue to get the plug to hold. The plug is the same size and matches well, but would not hold in place without the glue on my checkpoint SL5.

The archived bike parts pages helped find a derailleur hanger for my kid's bike. Without it, I would never have been able to find the right one! Thanks!
