I am a grandmother on the east coast ordering a trek bike for my grandson 's birthday in TX.
I placed an order on line, the bike was shipped and delivered to Trek Bicycle San Antonio North where it was assembled. My son and grandson were notified and able to pick it up there where the bike was fitted. With 2 grandsons in TX, this was the second time we purchased with this process and both times everything went totally smoothly.

My Trek Madone SL 6 Gen 8 (ML) came with a 100mm stem. I needed a 70mm stem. I got the part number and ordered what I needed, and it fit perfectly.
