Everyone was very nice, from check in, pre-op, surgery and post-op I was treated so well. I would like to thank everyone! The atmosphere and attitude of the hospital and staff made me feel at ease for day surgery!

I love the way I was treated as a patient. Everything went the way it was planned out for my treatment. I couldn't ask for anything better. I felt all the love and patience that was offered by everyone from the staff to the doctors and friends. even family members were impressed by the service I received and the way it was presented. totally love to be a patient at such a wonderful hospital. Beautiful facility and well organized. The cafeteria food was excellent and the half price coupon was very much appreciated. One issue related to my care team was that they never explained that the catheter can move in and out by several inches. When it moved out a little, I thought the anchoring “balloon” had dissolved or broken and was not doing its job. I panicked and manually held it in for hours until I returned to the emergency room at the hospital. This extra trip and frustration could have been prevented by telling me how the catheter could move.
I was in extreme pain from a cystoscopy resection earlier in the day. I was put in an exam room relatively quickly, but in spite of almost no patients being there, and numerous hospital employees being present, it took about 30 minutes before I saw a doctor. He was nice and we discussed my issue and decided we’d remove the catheter. After a long wait, my wife went out to the checkin desk to ask about the holdup and to request that someone shut off the annoying blood pressure monitor alarm. They asked her to sign paperwork for me, never fixed the alarm, and sat there eating and chatting. Eventually, the doctor returned and said he’d spoken with my doctor’s representative and they would not remove the catheter. It took another 15 minutes to get me a simple pain pill and another 30 minutes to give me checkout paperwork. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPABLE!

I am a registered nurse for Baylor McKinney, Plano and Lake Point. I feel that I received excellent care throughout my entire outpatient surgical stay. I was attended to, kept informed and kept pain free.
The quickness to see me, the way the were focused on me and not in and out during my process. They listened and took all the measures needed to find out what the issue was for me being sick. They went beyond to make sure I was comfortable and understood everything they were going to do to make sure I was okay! I highly recommend Baylor Scott and White!
