The salesperson whom I spoke with, Kirstin (not sure if I spelled that correctly; apologies if I'm wrong), was warm, courteous, very knowledgable - and she wasn't trying to rush me out of the store. She patiently answered every question I had, making me feel pleased with my whole experience at the store. Which is why I'll be back with my wife, who will be buying a bike there soon.

Basically, the only struggle was to get a hold of you, which I circumvented by straight buying a bicycle online and leaving a comment asking for a call back which then came quickly.
After that it was pretty much a bliss.
I especially liked the service I was provided with at pickup, when Randy customized the bike to my son's needs and was just very kind and professional doing so.
Really liked the attentive, quick and knowledgeable service (without some of the attitude you get in some bike stores). I was looking for some clip-in pedals and the staff there showed me some great ones at a reasonable price. Also bought a few other things and went back the next day as I couldn't figure out how to correctly put the pedals on. The bike mechanic had the pedals in no time at all and adjusted them for my shoes. Having also got my bike there a few years ago I highly recommend West Point Cycles.

Thank you for your help in finding a bike that is just right for me! Not just the bike but the help choosing accessories which you were able to immediately fix to the bike yesterday when I picked up the bike. I love my new FX 3 Stagger - just returned from the Stanley Park circuit route and enjoyed every minute of it - loved my "1" gear on the hill! My daughters have also shopped at Westpoint in the past, one for a new bike and accessories, and the other for tune-ups and fixing up an old bike. I bought a Garmin 530 bundle and it was missing the heart rate monitor. While it was frustrating to have spent $600 and not have the entire product. Andrew did a great job of communicating with me. He had the heart rate monitor in the time frame he said he would, as well as gave me prompt updates and responses to my correspondence along the way. (During a pandemic with reduced hours...)
I've purchased bikes and accessories from a number of stores and the general sales attitude seems to be, 'meh, whatever' once you've paid. I feel like WPC put in all the effort they could to show they care about a customer having a good experience with the store.
Having little prior knowledge on bikes, I felt it best to send a lengthy and detailed email to potential bike stores for assistance. Through browsing and online reviews, I narrowed down my options to 2 bike stores: 1 that was a 20 mins walk from where I lived and the other being WestPoint Cycles (Main st.) which required driving.
I sent virtually the same email to the two companies which described how I envisioned myself riding the bike and the purpose I wanted to use it for. I included bikes that I saw on their website along with my height requirements, concerns of bike weight, price range, and requested whether there were other recommendations they may have based on what I desired.
The store that was closer to me suggested coming in-person while Dylan A. from WestPoint Cycles responded with an email just as detailed as my first. He responded with advice, suggestions for other models, complications I may experience, etc. I was impressed by how detailed his email was along with his willingness to educate me on bike riding in general. Furthermore, he gave a follow-up phone call to book an appointment and to go over my options again. His email response alone convinced me to choose West Point Cycles.
Upon arrival, Dylan allowed me to test ride the bikes we mentioned, and Andrew R. assisted me with installing a Bike Stand at the last minute (even though they were technically closed). Both gave me advice on the best accessories on the market, SHIELD registration, and what benefits I received as a new client. Their advice was educational and their upsell techniques were non-invasive.
To be completely honest, I have not been so impressed by a service from a retail store in a very long time. Their methods are professional, non-invasive, customized, and educational all at once. From their email response, phone call, consultation, and in-person pick-up. Their service, recovery, and professionalism are seamless, and they gained a lifetime client because of it. Sincerely, I would recommend this company to anyone. The staff and management appear empowered as a team and should be incredibly proud. Hands down 5 out of 5 stars.
Good service, friendly staff
I bought my bike online. While I received a confirmation email, I did not receive a further email indicating when the order would be processed and the bike available for pick-up. I appreciate that your staff are busy and it takes time to go through online orders but as the bike was in stock, I thought it would be processed fairly quickly. I would have appreciated receiving an email update telling me when the bike would be available. Even if I had to wait several more days, at least I would have known the schedule. I had to send an email following up.
Once I received notification that the bike was ready for pick up, the staff was great in contacting me to schedule an appointment. I liked getting the calendar invite and the in-store staff was great in helping me select a helmet, lock, demonstrate how to use lock, etc. The in-store experience was top-notch.
My husband has since ordered a bike online as I recommended you to him (he's been looking for a while).
I felt like my associate took so much time to listen and figure out what would work best for me with regard to bike likes and pannier/pack. Wasn't rushed and left feeling great.
Quick at responding my order and questions, and have stock of the bike I am interested in, especially at this crisis times. They even sanitized my bike when I picked it up.
I love the staff, they're all helpful, knowledgeable, easy to deal with and go beyond expectations of service
