Phenomenal customer service. Knowledgeable Staff. Great selection of gear and accessories. Great beer and coffee!
Great selection of quality merchandise, a professional staff that caters to all levels of the bike world and don’t try to up sell you. An excellent experience purchasing our first e-bikes.
People, and employees, make everything happen and they were amazing!!!
Great customer service!
Todd is a great business owner and takes the necessary time with each customer. This was my fourth bike purchase from The Bike Lane and it was super easy. Todd gave me a great price on a trade in bike and honored Trek's sale price on the website for the new bike. I didn't need any special assistance, so I was in and out with the closeout bike I came for in 23 minutes. I highly recommend The Bike Lane! Mike R.
Techs are Always friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help.
Quick response time. Clearly defined time it would take.
Friendly, helpful, welcoming
Great customer service
They have great bikes good prices but the most important part for me is the customer service oriented people that all of them have. Its a pleasure to buy things at the store.
Richard took my 4 bikes for the yearly tuneup and even though there was a lengthy backlog of bikes needing service, he took care of me in 20 minutes. This is normal from the years I’ve been a happy customer at The Bike Lane, their customer service is great.
Super friendly and helpful team at The Bike Lane!
I am always treated so well each time I go. Tom, Richard, and Derrick are excellent in service, and Mark is great at the front of the house. The brewery is just a bonus. Keep up the good work.
Great service as always!!
A young man helped yesterday (a young boy, very nice boy). Service and atmosphere at the Lane was excellent.

Very pleasant staff. Very helpful.
I recently asked for advice on how to improve bike handling confidence on a gravel bike for the W&OD and C&O trails. The mechanic spent quality time with me, suggesting adjusting weight re-distribution, better tires, a shorter reach and possibly flared drops. He suggested going from my original Specialized Pathfinder Sport 38's to a tubeless-ready Teravail Washburn 700x42 or 47 tire. He suggested tubes to start, then eventually tubeless to air down, if I liked them well enough. I decided for the 47's thinking it would maximize the improvement on gravel.
The special order was apparently not submitted because management didn't finalize it. To their credit, they got it there the next day after an inquiry a week later.
The labor estimate to replace the original tubes and tires was half of the reality -- I suspect because the new more substantial tires were harder to seat. I noted they were only inflated to the min 40 psi. On a parking lot test ride, the tires seemed way too stiff... I could feel every bump and they were way too bouncy. I should have gone back in to tell them then, but I had to go pick up my son, so there was no time to. Another bike shop said they would never put tubes in those tires as the ride quality would be too harsh. I would not ever ride my bike with these new tires with tubes in them and didn't want to incur further tubeless expenses to see if that would make them rideable.
So, after much internet research, reviews determined the Specialized Pathfinder Pro tires, similar to my original Sport tires, would be the best alternative. I also determined 42s were the best all around size vs the 47s for pavement and gravel. As they are discontinued, I was very lucky to find them at a College Park bike store. To save money, I took off the Teravails and replaced them with the Pros myself. After struggling too long to get them seated, I am much happier with the ride and performance of the Pathfinder tires.
Unfortunately, this was an expensive lesson, after spending all of that money on more expensive Washburns and labor at The Bike Lane. It would be great if I could return them. Know of anyone interested in buying some barely used 700x47 Teravails?
I liked the attention paid to making my biking experience comfortable and enjoyable
Fast tune up without an appointment
Came in late pm with a torn rear Maxxis. Tom installed a new tire while I waited despite being swamped with work. Awesome service and great guy- thank you.

Fast service, helpful service staff who took the time to explain different options despite being very busy at the time.
