I mentioned a concern of mine twice and not once through any communication (email or in person) was it addressed. I then just made the assumption that the service rectified the problem, but I honestly have no clue.
Great advice and support in the purchase of my new bike.
I came in knowing nothing about bikes and o my ever owning Walmart Huffy bikes. Mark greeted me and we chatted about what I wanted a bike for. He pulled out 3 bikes for me to test ride and watched as I pulled away on each looking like Bambi learning how to walk. He talked me through the pricing, bike basics, their monthly class, and essential accessories. The Bike Lane is big with local, experienced cyclists, but it was also incredibly welcoming and non-intimidating for me as a newbie. I’m looking forward to popping in on my rides down the W&OD. Thanks Mark and Bike Lane!

Quick and easy repair for a reasonable price
Ensure ordered bikes from Trek come with the specified components or if different from spec, please point out to the customer when picking up the bike. We understand that Trek can change up components, however if Bike Lane salespeople tell the customer before they notice and explain why (e.g. supply chain shortage, best available match, or if substandard-when the correct component can be obtained and replaced, etc.) it will create a far better purchase experience.

We came upon the Bike Lane years ago, when we were looking to purchase bicycles. We had visited other bike shops and were discouraged by the long wait to get attention. At one shop we were ignored and left after looking at all the bikes on display.
Not so at the Bike Lane! We walked through the door and were immediately welcomed and paid attention to. After an abundance of questions, we bought a bike and soon after a second one. A couple of years later we bought one more.
Todd and staff have not let up on giving attention to their customers. We noticed that, whenever someone walked in the door they were greeted and their questions were answered. Everyone is upbeat about you coming in the store and remains friendly throughout your visit.
You get to test the bike(s), should you be interested in one or multiples.
This helps a lot, especially if you are a novice to bike possession.
We first visited the Bike Lane when the Store was at Reston Town Center.
The store has seen improvement in location since they moved a few blocks down the road.
It is a terrific experience to visit and, oh - did I forget the coffee and beer? those alone are worth a visit!
