Your service department is the best in the DMV -- expert advice, excellent mechanical work and quick turnarounds. The whole shop is a joy to visit. Everyone is helpful and the vibe is super friendly.

The Bike Lane has for many years, at both locations, served the cycling community from serious racers to beginners. They continue to employ people who have years of experience with the wide range of products they offer and they always seem to patiently answer their customers' questions.
The Reston location is practically on the W&OD Trail, which makes it as convenient as a bike shop could possible be. And, these days there is the added bonus of being able to stop in and have a fresh, cold brew from the tap.
Can't say enough positive things about it!
Richard and Tom are the two best mechanics I have ever dealt with. They are experts who get stuff done quickly. I consider myself lucky to have a shop like this down the street.
Repairs on my bike too longer than initially announced and it was hard to get an update of how much longer it would take.
It would have been good to get a better estimate of the costs from the get go. The service charge is pretty steep, I understand that parts are extra, but I would have expected the installation charges for things like break pads should be included in the service. It does take time to install the break pads, to change some of the wires …. Etc…. But once the bicycle is on the stand… it does not take very long.
They have employees, other shops in our area cutback so much their customer service has dropped. This is the place to go for knowledgeable and great customer service

I love the whole vibe at Bike Lane - all the staff are so welcoming, friendly, genuinely interested in meeting you where you’re at in your bike life and supporting your interest to get yourself and other family members & friends out enjoying biking no matter what level. Mechanics are super responsive, knowledge and fast and very reasonable prices for work done. Great culture which is clearly set by the leadership😊

extra care and consideration
Todd gave a great class on flats/maintenance. He answered all the questions and gave a lot of advice. I think too many bike shops make you feel like outsiders when you are just getting started but I haven’t felt like that anytime I have stopped in the Reston shop.
