Attentive customer service
I needed an expert mechanic to help with a non-standard problem (install). The mechanic welcomed the opportunity to help on something that was a nice-to-have, even though it would have been understandable if he had simply decided that it wasn't necessary and not worth his time or effort. We are very pleased with the result, and thank him and you for your assistance. We have purchased 2 bikes and significant accessories from the Bike Lane, but this upgrade was on a bike not purchased from you. Please pass along my thanks.

The staff, ownership, and beer are all great. The shop is also very involved, with events like Rails to River and Wednesdays at Wakefield.
The bike maintenance class was great. I wish there were more classes I would pay to learn more like adjusting breaks and gears. A nd working on my own bike.

I love how helpful and friendly and professional all of the staff are. As someone who doesn't know much about biking, it is intimidating to enter a store but The bike lane is very welcoming.
I purchased a bike helmet for my daughter this past Sunday and the tall thin older man who helped us was so great. When he found out that my daughter just learned how to bike while at a bike camp in Bentonville, Arkansas, He's so kindly bought her a lemonade.
As a consultant to small businesses for operations and customer service, this type of overall experience is what keeps people coming back. TY so much!
PS. We did the kids trail biking on Tuesday night for the first time... The first time for me and the third time on a trail for my daughter but her first time with the group. All of the coaches and leaders were fantastic especially Elaine who was with my daughter Madeline the whole time providing her coaching and training and motivation. She is amazing!! Ty!!

You didn’t do the service properly and denied doing anything wrong.
After spending nearly half the cost of the original purchase price of the bike for a tune up, brake replacement and new tire, I would have expected the bike to be in perfect working order. But while the front brake was completely replaced, the rear brake was not touched and not tuned up. Front brake is great, works like new. Back brake is squishy and squeaky. My son now only uses the front brake.
We expected more. Especially for the price we paid.
Bike shop mechanics are always friendly and accommodating. Willing to teach how and why they fix something. I’ve learned a lot from them. Looking forward to giving them my business for years to come

My go to bike store is The Bike Lane, Reston. Knowledgeable staff and always willing to do minor bike repairs on the spot. Great location on the best part of W&OD. A cold micro brew at the end of a long hot ride is always welcome too!
