My bicycle shopping experience at Sweet Pete’s was extremely easy and pleasant. I initially spoke to Brent over email whom I met when I came in store as well. Due to the long line outside, I did not expect him to spend too much time speaking to me, and I understood this, keeping my questions short and trying not to be a burden to him and the other staff. However he was very happy to speak to me and help me out with my questions. He didn’t rush me because of the line outside, and took his time with me and asked me for my name and introduced himself which I found extremely admirable as a customer.
Well, I ended up purchasing a bike here and I definitely will recommend this store to friends and family.

I ordered a bike online in the midst of Covid-19. The bike I ordered wasn't available but one of the sales associates found another bike and took the time to explain the similarities and differences between the Kona bike (the original bike I ordered) and the Giant (which I bought).
He was really enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable.
I picked up the bike a week later. The employees seemed stressed. They were brusque, but they were also dealing with dozens of people who were unhappy about Covid-19 restrictions on crowds, etc. They guy I dealt with was still very professional and helpful.
I'm happy with the bike and would recommend Sweet Pete's.

Not much! Tough to run a business during a pandemic. Getting served outside and then inside the store was all a straightforward process...
As with all businesses, must be tough to keep your online inventory up-to-date but you had the bike I wanted! Small miracle at the moment.

I liked the convenience of being able to order online for in store pickup. Even though I had 2 separate orders, everything was well organized and waiting for me to pick it up.
I ordered bike lube and it took 6 days before I could pick it up. Not the biggest deal in the world but it I would recommend to try and make it easier to find products that are already in the shop. I would have ordered whatever was available in the shop to avoid waiting.

I was looking for a pair of shoes and your store had the right ones. I was a little skeptical of ordering on line as I wanted them as soon as possible. The order was filled in an hour or so and and when I showed up to pick them up you also had in stock the pedals I was looking for, saved me a trip across town to a store I don’t like dealing with so I was extremely happy!
The staff was friendly and explained the return policy and I felt comfortable that if there was an issue the return would be as easily completed as the purchase.
Chatted with the person who served me about an issue I had with my brakes and he provided me with a break spacer that I needed for when I remove the wheel.
I just purchased a new bike and trying to source the accessories is difficult and usually leads to running all over town but sweet Pete’s has a great stock. I don’t look for obscure parts I tend to read reviews and then purchase popular items but many LBS don’t even stock these items. As an example I purchase the Giro
Privateer lace and most stores don’t stock it in Toronto or the GTA.
I wasn’t so sure about this Sweet Pete character but now I’m sold. My only suggestion would be to try and provide a timeline online for how long it takes to fulfil orders. For myself I’m always sceptical of ordering for in store pickup because I’m not sure how long it is going to take. MEC has 2 to 17 days as guidance on their site which is of no use. I’m not going to order something that may take 17 days but if you let customers know an in stock item can usually be fulfilled in 24 hours it will provide more assurances to customers and likely increase business.

Open your store. Lengthen your hours. And provide printed user's manual for new e-bikes (even a simple "getting started" 2 pager would be useful)

I'll be honest with you guys.
Bought my bike and was very satisfied with the customer service. Yes, i know that you're overwhelmed with the COVID surge in business and only being one store open. But the level of customer service can be best described as "surly". One staff member was openly nice to me (she actually smiled and asked if i'd been looked after). everyone else? zero eye contact, zero niceties, short replies, seemed annoyed by anything me or (observing from outside) other clients would do. i was trying to be helpful and courteous when in the store and that also seemed to pain them. happened when i dropped my bike off and when i picked it up.
the lack of answering the phone's also a bit of an issue since there's no way for me to communicate with the staff about my bike, if needed.
i would suggest that everyone take a step back for 3 minutes, take a breath and seem like they actually enjoy being at work. and, if they can't, then maybe hire someone to interact with customers so we don't feel like we aren't wanted.
this is after i spent $1200 on a bike and $300 on my repairs.
(and FYI same thing happened when i brought my bike in for the spring tune-up)
It wasn’t just for this recent purchase that I gave the score but, when my wife and I were looking to buy a tandem bike, although the salesperson wasn’t able to sell us one, they pointed out some other places where we could try which was how we found someone who could get us our bike.

During this very difficult time, the services that I received from Sweet Pete's was timely and courteous.
My original request for repairs was handled quickly and even when the estimate was far beyond what I had anticipated, I never felt rushed into making a decision.
Me questions regarding the purchase of a new bike were all answered quickly and professionally.
The purchase of my new bike was seamless as was the delivery of the bike.
