Excellent in person service. Knowledgeable staff. Process of booking an appointment through email can be improved. Also, was difficult getting a status update of the tune up over the phone as the call was redirected to the Bloor West location.
Transparency
I prefer buying locally and supporting Ottawa bike shops. I understand Covid has made things very challenging.
Seems to take a real long time to get things shipped even when they are in stock however. Short staffed?
I will continue buying from you however.

Terrible communication and unprofessional attitude. I had an email thread where I confirmed I did not want to cancel and order. The next morning someone else replied to my original email (that had already been addressed by different staff) and cancelled my order. Not very accommodating, professional, apologetic - I bought my road bike from this store and had a great experience then in 2019. Very disappointed. When the demand/supply bias flips back to give power to the consumer , this kind of customer service will not be tolerated. I plan to write a review on google as well.
💯% Straight goods .. products and services
I love Sweet Pete's. Good products and no attitude. Everyone seems welcome. I have noticed lately though that things seem disorganized. Incorrect items put in bag for pickup. Staff at front desk have a hard time finding things. Probably just pandemic craziness but hopefully things will get smoother over the summer.
Great service friendly staff
Staff asked me to exit the store and order online when I inquired about another item. Ontario has reopened under stage 1 and I was already in the store.
At some point there will be a return to normalcy but I won’t be returning to sweet Pete’s.
If my order was not in your inventory, I would of appreciated notice.
I may have selected something that was in stock. For faster delivery.
I dropped my bike off for a handlebar wrap. You didn’t have the right colour and had no timeline for re-stocking. When I arrived to pick up the bike and take it elsewhere, the original handlebar tape had been removed.
Leaving me in a situation where I’m forced to get it re-wrapped to even ride because your staff removed the old wrap before it verified it had the new stock.
As well, the staff member told me that they did in fact have the wrap in stock, just at another location. Instead of making an effort to help their customer, and solve the problem, the customer solved the problem. I bought the wrap at your other location. Delivered it. And the fix was done. Did it need all this deliberation? No. Did it need me coming into your store to get it done? Yes.
I rated this a 6 because the young guy at the counter shouldn’t take flak for dumbass approaches to inventory like yours.

Good selection in uncertain times
Very good service !
More help out front. Have someone outside explaining to clients who are waiting, what we are waiting for. Person in front of me was trying on shoes. Felt badly for her, but I had my order all ready and just needed to collect. Spent 20 minutes in line waiting to do a 2 minute pick up.
Others clients came to the door to yell in there questions hoping they might get a quick answer. Seems like we were outside waiting and wondering what was going on.
Best thing would be to have someone outside providing answers.

the tune up on my bike was awesome - it is like new - there were some additional issues which were well explained to me so that it was easy to make an educated decision about the extra work - the service was done on time and my bike was ready when they said it would be - thanks Sweet Pete's!
Everything was great! Prices were super reasonable, everyone I dealt with was very friendly and accomodating, replies via email were prompt, and the business hours meant I was able to drop by at my convenience. I had a great experience and I'll definitely be back for any bike-related needs!
Both Rob and Brent were great to deal with. My son is very happy with his new bike and said the customer service when he went in was excellent. Will definitely recommend the shop.
