Local neighborhood bike shop with good part selection and friendly and knowledgeable staff.
I finally decided with my girls (ages 8, 8, 11) that I just needed to get them a nice bike. I'm tired of buying all the $150 - $200 bikes that a year later you can't find a key part for or that just seem to be not very well made. I went to Elevation after researching well the Trek bicycle site as I wanted to get something good, pay maybe $500 - $600 per bike, and just get something they can have for a long time. I intended to look here as well as a couple other places for other brands. (But FYI if you read reviews you'll find Trek is the perfect bike, great bikes from a company that knows bikes, and at a reasonable cost).
We went in and the staff is crazy good - they answer all your questions, let your kids ride the bikes so they can see how they work and if you have never been on something other than those brands in the retail stores you'll be amazed. Trek bikes are light, easy to ride, it's a world of difference. My girls loved it!!! We got them each one and it took about 20 minutes for the shop to get them ready - they gave it a total overall tuneup before we left to have each bike perfect. In 30 days we go back and they service them for us to tune them up again.....free. Once a year you get a free tuneup for 5 more years. I see they have a 4.9 out of 5 rating online and I can't imagine why only a 4.9 - seriously, you will be treated amazing and be so happy you bought your kids (or you!!!) a great bike.
By the way, there is like many other things a shortage of bikes, their online in inventory is pretty accurate, but shops everywhere are low on bikes. I wanted one for me without paying an arm and leg as well, and it is going to be a couple months before one is in stock. But, do yourself a favor, don't have parts of 15 crap big box retails store bikes in your garage that you have to fix every month, donate every year, put together yourself, etc. - go to a place with great bikes and great service. they never tried to upsell me from what I wanted, are honest, know bikes well, and you'll come out feeling like you got a good fit for what you need!

Nice work on my bike
I brought my bike in for a free tune up, and I was impressed by their knowledge and the fact that they didn’t try and sell me something I didn’t need! When I picked it up, it was so clean and looked as good and the day I bought it. Everything was adjusted perfectly, and I can’t wait to ride it again.

I needed a replacement wheel for my Felt drop bar city bike. I needed a high quality wheel that would handle years of high miles and city riding. I was told by another shop that it would take several weeks to get a wheel and I would be contacted when it came in. I was never contacted and the shop was even a little dismissive when I called to check on the status. I gave up on the other shop and went to Elevation as they are close to where I live. They found me the wheel I needed and all the work was done the next day (in a half of day). You have to be grateful nowadays when something you need is actually in stock. Everyone there is pleasant, friendly.
Professional responsive service. Sent my Marzocchi fork in for a warranty repair. I also bought a bike from Elevation which was also a great experience...nothing but praise for the Elevation crew.
