I think the least you can do is to refund me the $25 I paid for a fraudulent estimate.
I brought my 6-year old bike in for a check-up before the 5Boro bike tour. The bike ran fine, but Eric quoted me a price of $340 for a tune-up and replacement of many parts. After freaking out, I called and told them not to perform the work, and was charged $25.
I brought the bike to Dixon's where Chris told me that NO parts needed to be replaced, except the back tire, which was still good enough to last the summer. They charged me $80 for the tuneup, after which the bike felt terrific.
In a way, I am glad that Eric quoted such an outrageous price, because it convinced me to go elsewhere. I purchased my bike from the Vanderbilt Bike Habitat and have spent well over $1,000 in the store, but I will never trust you to repair my bike again.

Product prices too expensive!!! As a neighborhood store i understand that margins are a bit higher, but I had a flat fire, and tire was perforated. The 1 gatorskin at 80$ is insanely expensive if you know you can buy 2 for 78$ at Amazon. For someone that bought the bike with you these prices seem way too high and likely won’t come back. Would recommend a store that doesnt try to take advantage of customers with prices that are not market conform.
Everyone was helpful and informative - and my bike was ready and tuned up earlier than I anticipated. I've been cycling all weekend and feeling much safer knowing I got my bike's annual basic tune up. Thank you!

What I was most impressed with was Mike’s ability to listen deeply to my particular needs and apply his knowledge of bikes in NYC to make recommendations and adjustments. I worked closely with Mike but all of the other techs were incredibly kind and thoughtful as well, helping me to navigate best options.

I recently purchased my first bike from Dave and I couldn't be happier with the level of service I received. I purchased a new seat for my Trek FX 9 and when I learned it was not comfortable, had no problem swapping it for one that was better.
Matt was unbelievable with his level of customer service. He went above and beyond to get me the bike and all the accessories I needed.
The bike I had ordered and left a deposit for turned out to be much to big and heavy for me. After the salesperson checked and found no suitable alternative, I received full payment no questions asked even after a basket had been attached and I attempted to ride it on the street. I couldn't ask for more considerate service.

Tim did a great job changing my front brake pads and disc. He then did a quick evaluation of my bike to make sure it was in good working order and advised me on what I need to do next. I always go to Bicycle Habitat to have them work on my bikes and have never been disappointed.
