I am a customer of Bicycle Habit for three years now and counting. Bicycle Habit is a family business that totes family-oriented customer service. It cares about customers beyond a like for bikes. Among providing up-to-date products, Bicycle Habit teaches customers about the science of biking. From fitting a newly purchased bike to offering a wide variety of accessories, including bike shoes, Bicycle Habit tailors its products to customers' comfort and taste. I shall go nowhere else.

What do you like about our products and services?

My bike fitting 4 years ago was... transformational. Made such a difference in my riding enjoyment and comfort. I came back for a check in and tune up and Matt made minor tweaks for major impact. And identified some simple component changes to again, provide huge improvements. Matt and the whole BH staff are outstanding and knowledgeable professionals. Thank you again.

online buying experience was good. Pick-up of my son's bike was great, the women at the front counter was super helpful and made sure to adjust the bike so it was fit to my son. Great expereince!

What do you like about our products and services?

I assume you have as a complete line of products for my bikes as anywhere.

I also assume that if I bring in my bike for a repair, you will be able to turn it around within about an hour.

In my experience, these assumptions have proven correct.

In addition, I find your staff to be knowledgeable, nice, and fun to talk with.

My way of getting around New York City is my bike. I need a bike shop that can give me expert service in a reasonable period of time. One such facility is Bicycle Habitat.

I don’t know the mechanics name, but he was very knowledgeable and helpful with my derailer adjustment. The woman that helped me with my fenders and racks was also incredibly helpful and well informed. I often have a really positive experience at this store

What do you like about our products and services?

I like how if they don’t have a product, they will order it for you. Folks looked comfortable dropping off their bikes. I typically don’t like leaving my bike with anyone but I felt I could if I wanted to.

Very chill atmosphere.

I actually live in Harlem and purposefully went to this bike shop because I felt more comfortable getting my stuff from this spot, instead of a spot in/closer to Harlem

Bicycle Habitat has always been a bike shop that I go to since there were in SoHo moving to Vanderbilt was very convenient for me although I don't go to the bike shop as regular because I actually able to do lots of things on the bike myself. But they are very friendly very professional so every now and then I do step in good environment always known for good products!👌🏾👍🏾

Tire was replaced but it was flattish and needed air. That and other things feels like things are moving too fast to take a look at the whole bike and whole biker. Or maybe id have to pay more for that extra service too!

How did we disappoint you and what can we do to make things right?

Hi! Overall, the people were nice, but there were a handful of things that went wrong. I came in for an annual tune-up, and the mechanic suggested I change my tires and that he didn't have rubber-color stripe ones, but he did have red stripe ones. But when I picked my bike up they were all black. This was frustrating and was also in combination that I was told pickup was on a particular day but not told to wait for a text message (and the email confirmation doesn't state this either). So I came at 4:30pm and it wasn't ready, so I had to come back a different day.

All things I can look past, but when I brought my bike in there weren't any glaring issues, and now I'm having trouble shifting into the lowest gear. I brought it into the shop yesterday and was told to turn a pin, which I have been doing (as I ride if I notice it's loose). They said I really need to tighten it with a screwdriver, but as I was riding home it still is not shifting properly. I may come back again today after work, but I'm just disappointed in the experience given I spent almost $400 and the bike is riding worse than when I brought it in.

I had an excellent experience last year at the Park Slope location, so I'm let down by the Vanderbilt location.

Bicycle Habitat is my go to place to get all my needs met regarding my custom bike built. Matt is an amazing and knowledgeable person with an incredible amount of patience to understand and answer your questions. He never upsells products or services. I travel past aeveral shops to come. Antonio & Francisco are expert repair technicians. Overall staff are attentive & friendly. Love knowing they exist nearby.

I found your shop online as you had the bike I was interested in. Justine was so extremely helpful, and knowledgeable. She not only was helpful with the sale, making it smooth and easy, but also was able to recommend new places to ride which I had not known of before. On top of that, she has an awesome sense of humor and personality.

Francisco, who assembled my bike and installed my aftermarket items, was so helpful and nice too. He did great work and from his conversations with me I could tell he takes pride in his work.

I was very impressed with ever part of my experience here and would definitely recommend your shop.

How did we disappoint you and what can we do to make things right?

Sales people weren’t attentive. I was able to order what I needed to, but I asked to be called when the order arrived, as stated on the invoice, and it didn’t happen. The order was also delayed and I wasn’t informed. I was disappointed at the quality of service.
