The team was very helpful and professional. My bike did not need a full tuneup, just a few minor adjustments, which they did quickly during the estimate meeting and were incredibly fair in what they charged for that as well. Great experience, will definitely be back.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Unpretentious. Good work.

You guys were lovely to work with. Had great advice and went the extra mile. My bell is even positioned in a place where I can easily use it.
My bike was delayed because of shipping problems. The team was able to get me another one the next day.

Basically, I was OVERCHARGED for the service while also being UNDER-DELIVERED in terms of quality.
I brought my disassembled bike in for a re-assembly. I had previously called the day before to get a quote given I'm only getting it assembled and already had all the parts and was quoted at $150. I confirmed this at the desk when I got there, but once I handed it off to the mechanics, I was told it would be $199 and I would be charged for the full annual tune. I had already deep-cleaned all drivetrain and pedal related components, but I decided that was fine given that I had put on the wheels and fork (literally 3 minutes) and in case I was missing something. I was told it would be ready within 3 business days which was fine, and they would contact me if there were any issues.
I received an email a few hours later saying it was done. I was very happy and pleased for the fast service which I appreciated. However after only 2 rides, I've realized this is more likely due to hasty effort than fast servicing. Issues include:
1. Clicking and faulty downshifting. Could be many reasons for this but I expected it should be smoother after the annual tune. Instead, it's more difficult and gets stuck more often than before (e.g. the chain does not successfully move after shifting, I need to shift down again and then up)
2. When on the smaller chainring and smallest cassette, the chain makes direct contact and rubs against the guide component. This suggests it was installed without any testing on the smaller chainring.
3. Also on the smaller chainring, the pedal hits the brake wire with every stroke because it was installed on a curve. This produces an annoying noise and also does not seem good for the bike.
4. I noticed that on occasion, the wheel and brake pad will produce a rubbing sound if the bike is leaned slightly (e.g. on a turn). I believe the rear brake pad was installed too close to the wheel, and this seems to become more prevalent after a ride, maybe due to heat expansion.
I believe that no tuning or adjustments was done on my actual components, it was just installed together as fast as possible and the only thing tested was that the wheels turn on the bigger chainring. This is very disappointing given that I paid for this full service, more than I was originally told.
I am not sure what my options are at this point, but I would really like to see if I can bring it in and have the entire tune service re-evaluated and repeated if necessary to the proper Bicycle Habitat standards.
