I visited your store for a quick repair on Sunday morning. The service was very quick, but I found the employee's attitude not very customer-friendly. No smiles, or sense of urgency. Flat faces, almost to a point of low-morale.
I lived closer to the other Bicycle Habitat store, on 5ht Avenue, Brooklyn, but I went to this store because of one of my friend's recommendation.
The repair was very quick, but I expected the mechanic to explain me the repairs and what was the problem, but I got no feedback. Just pay and leave.

I bought a bike from Brooklyn Bikes and had them ship it to Bicycle Habitat to assemble due to the reputation you have and my own past experiences with your mechanics and staff, especially during the pandemic.
When I went to get my bike, your friendly and knowledgeable staff person wheeled it out to me so I could see if and approve the sale prior to sending it back to the mechanic for one last go-over.
While I was waiting for the bike, I was engaged in a very friendly and in depth conversation about bikes; the different brands (strengths and weaknesses) and in particular, disc brakes. I have three bikes now; a folding all terrain bike, a vintage Fuji racer, and the Brooklyn Bike cruiser. I am very interested in bikes and bike mechanics so it was really fun to have a excellent conversation with your friendly staff person!

I've been coming to you guys for like 12 years now and I like it because everybody is very personable and you usually get the work done very quickly. You go overboard to please the customer and I like them and I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Fabulous staff
bicycle habitat always has the products I need. not only that, the staff seem to all be bikers and give great recommendations. my most recent purchases, a bell and an under-helmet winter hat, were both guided by a very knowledgable sales person. Not only did they help with me making the purchase, but they also installed the bell on my bike.
As a follow-up, both products are working great. as is the flashing back light that I purchased from your Vanderbilt store over the summer.
Love bicycle habitat and I will continue to get my bike needs from there.
The staff is friendly, helpful, and most importantly knowledgeable. They diagnosed my bike after I described the issues and within 10 minutes they came out explained the situation, showed me the parts that needed to be replaced and an estimated cost. My sweet bicycle is reborn. She rides like a dream and makes my commute safe and enjoyable.

I brought in a little kid's bike where I had broke the nozzle because the wheel was too small for the pump head. What I loved was, not only did the technician replace it with a tube that removed the original problem (it emerged at an angle so I could use my pump to refill it) but even beyond that he saw the the fork was loose from the handlebars and I watched him carefully tighten it up. He did that without my having to ask, just because he saw it needed to be done and would only take him a moment, and I was very grateful for that! That kind of extra mile means a lot to me, and totally bought my loyalty!
