Little bit funky but good shop and service, dug the vibes all around
From a friend
Good communication and knowledgeable service.
You fixed my tire but it was really expensive just to pump some air.
Friendly staffs and good services
Justine knows everything.
I was riding around Prospect Heights looking for a bike store around 7-8pm as I really needed a bike lock and some other parts, but all of them had closed by 8pm, including Bicycle Habitat. Fortunately there was a Bicycle Habitat salesperson still in the store who graciously came to open the service entrance door when she saw that I needed help. She didn't have to do that and I ended up getting my Kryptonite bike lock and being able to head out to my intended destination where I was able to safely lock my bike up during dinner. I then came back the next day to have my bike disassembled for a paint job and the mechanics were all very friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and professional. Just an overall very positive first experience with my new neighborhood bike shop. I'll certainly be coming back for any future bike repair or gear purchase needs in the future.
Friendly, knowledgeable, honest, willing to take the extra steps to explain and demo bike parts, gear, etc. to a non-expert biker. They are my go-to bike shop!
Sales person was a bit off putting.
You could do more to make them more toddler friendly
Very consumer friendly. Everyone in the shop was so helpful and friendly. A true cyclist's bike shop!
Friendly mechanic
It’s tough to know how long you’ll be waiting, which makes it difficult to go most days.
Friendly and great service
I’ve been to so many bicycle shops in the city and by far Bicycle Habitat’s Vanderbilt location is the best. They’re super nice, non-judgmental for those inexperienced cyclists that feel intimidated walking into a bike shop. They’ve been amazing helping me prep for a big touring trip this summer. I can’t say enough great things about this shop and they’re fantastic at cultivating a sense if neighborhood community. Definitely make this your go-to bike shop.
Got what I need it
Great product
great service and very responsive
Knowledgeable staff and great state of the art bikes
Quick and efficient service. Thanks!
You exist! A full service bike shop. I felt like I was back in Berlin!
I truly appreciate how absolutely sweet and helpful everyone was in the store and super responsive online ❤️
I brought my bike to repair rear flat tire yesterday evening. Your staff said “only inside tubing got holes. Outside of tire is fine.” Then they only replace inside tubing. After 15 minutes I left your store, the same rear tire went flat again.
I had to go to another bike shop to get the same tire repaired. The 2nd bike store guy said tire has some holes and damaged inside and out.
I’m very disappointed for by your services.
The technicians are amazing! They are precise, friendly and quick. I will always recommend them and I will always take my bikes here.
Personalized service and advice
Accessible products, wide variety. excellent service!
Great mechanics.
Your team works well with cyclists of different needs and expectations
Customer service was great, nice friendly staff.
I brought by bike in because it was skipping gears. I was up sold to an overall maintenance service that was $200. When I got my bike back and starting riding it over to the west side, everything seemed fine and my bike seemed brand new. However, by the time I got over to the Hudson to head north, and started shifting gears, I noticed that the problem still existed. I didn’t have time to return to the store so I kept north. By the time I got to Washington Heights, the chain comes off and got stuck immediately after I changed gears. I called the store, upset that I was having this experience after having my bike serviced and paying $200 dollars. I was told to bring the bike back in but because I had a meeting starting in 30 mins, that wasn’t an option. I will bring my bike back in, stuck chain and all, this coming weekend. Long story short, I had to carry my bike back to the Bronx. Not a good experience. I even hate that I have to take time to type this experience—my time wasted again.
The staff are fantastic, very friendly and knowledgeable, helped me find the perfect bike and accessories to go along with it, within the price range I could afford. Would recommend to anyone looking for a bike and is uncertain how to go about it.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Don’t try to BS you. Parts and services are fairly priced.
