How did we disappoint you and what can we do to make things right?

After the technician finished (my wife was home and I was at work), I returned home to find a job that was only slightly better than my wife normally does with a Bissell cleaner. This and the fact that the technician told her she had to pay $15 extra because we had a landing on our stair case was way off base. Especially after I had already agreed to pay an extra $25 for the stairs after buying into your radio advertisement that each room was only $25.

Why would a company with a quality product such as your own stoop to such low measures at to attempt petty bickering over things such as a landing on the day of service? I though we had a contract at the time I completed the phone call and ordered service. Isn't it YOUR responsibility as an experienced and professional vendor to point out that stairways with landings are extra at the time the order is placed? I think so.

Finally, as I mentioned earlier, the carpets were not adequately cleaned after the first visit. It wasn't until the technician returned the second day that an adequate job was done and the carpets were cleaned beyond what would be expected from an amateur.

James, stairs are not considered a room. They are treated like upholstery since each step is cleaned using a small hand tool and not a larger cleaning wand. The amount of labor put into a staircase is more than cleaning two rooms and we have priced it fairly.
As for the cleaning being subpar the first time - I apologize that it took two trips to make it right. I hope that we have shown you that we are willing to come back anytime you are not happy and make it right. - Scott Arkon

How did we disappoint you and what can we do to make things right?

Tile is not very clean -- it looks splotchy. My baseboards are all scratched up (good size gouges) where the machine went by to clean the tile. My stainless steel appliances have splashes on them from the tile machine that will not come off. My scheduled appointment was between 3:30 - 6 PM. The tech came at 6:20 and didn't finish until 9:20 PM.

Kent, I am so sorry for how your cleaning was performed. We will be contacting you today to get back out there and reclean the tile. We will also take care of any damage to the baseboards that we may have caused. I have an excellent company that will refinish the stainless steel if we cannot clean it. What could we do to improve?

Lower your prices. I just spent $500 to clean my whole house. Granted I had some pet spots that needed special attention, but $500 is pretty steep, and that was WITH a discount.

Julie Ann, thank you for your response. Yes, it is true that sometimes pet issues can be more expensive. We have a philosophy at Zerorez that we have a moral obligation to remove biological contamination from our customers carpet, not just cover up the smell. A lot of other cleaners will come in and spray a deodorant to make you feel the like the carpet's clean but they are not (think of the febreeze commercials where people are sitting in filthy rooms and saying it smells like fresh laundry). We clean the right way - every time.

What could we do to improve?

The service was great once the tech arrived and performed the cleaning. However, a 3-hour appointment window is just to large. If you can narrow that down it would be very helpful. Perhaps letting the customer know up front that the tech will call about 1/2 hour before arriving so the customer doesn't have to just wait at home.

NO RESIDUE!! Your truly have an amazingly professional staff in all areas including those on the followup calls. I also think they smell good including the pet treatment stuff. We've tried other companies where we actually had to leave the house for a while because the cleaners were so nauseatingly strong like those in outhouses. We love the results, efficiency, that cool pretreating rake thing, and all around professionalism. Thanks again!

The two night voucher is a scam. Trying to upsell protectant. Does not mean I would not use you again, but I felt mislead by advertising. I liked the tech, he was a pro.

Calvin, i'm not sure what you mean by the "voucher is a scam". We have personally used the vouchers here amongst our employees with no issues. I'm having Nikie call you today and lets see if we have anything else in our goody bag we can get you instead. I'd hate to have that voucher be the last thing you think of when you think cleaning with Zerorez.

The gentleman that came to my home was very professional and courteous. (Jim Vance) he was considerate to keep wet shoes off carpets, help my toddler son not to be afraid of the machine and did a great job cleaning our carpets.

What could we do to improve?

Show up on time. Do not understand why first appointment of the day is given an 8-11 window. Technician showed up at "K" St job at 9:15. Had problems with unit, packed up and left. By the time Alex showed up with van truck it was nearly noon. So much for three jobs in a row being completed by about 1PM. Like last time I used you guys the work wasn't done at the third apartment until 4:30. I feel sorry the office staff who must constantly defend this. Alex was great. I understand it was his first day by himself. Tell Gaylen to spend more time on basic service and stop spending his money always bashing the competitors on his KSL spots. You just can't treat customers like they have nothing else to do all day except wait for you.

I like that the cleaning agent used is non toxic. I have children and I don't want them being exposed to nasty chemicals. I chose to get the stain resistant coating and it has been great so far! I have had to clean up several spills and they came up easily. I have already recommended Zerorez to my neighbor!

I like that Mason arrived when you say you will. And I love that he was able to make my dingy old carpet look new. Mason was also able to the gross vomit stains from the dog out of the carpet and you would never know they had been there. He explained the procedures and took the time to walk the rooms with me so I could show him problem spots and concerns. The carpet was dry in just a few hours so we could put back the furniture the same day! :)

The price quoted on the phone with a promise of "no upselling", based on which I gave my credit card information, was changed when the technician arrived.

Lisa, you are absolutely right! I went back and listened to the phone call between you and the call center. Your renter authorized more work than you approved and our notes to the technician was to not do more work than you originally authorized. That is our mistake and you have a refund for the difference in the mail today.
