Actually I am not that excited about the Trek product. The handlebar grips on my wife's FX 7.3 became unbearably sticky. Thinking that I could replace them with a pair of Ergon grips that looked very similar to the stock grip but made from a better material I ordered a pair but much to my dismay they would not work because of Trek's proprietary iso grip system. GRRRRRR. Finally went to Trek website and ordered the Trek grip for $50.00 which in my opinion is ridiculous. Now you might be wondering why I would give Trek a 10 rating in this survey, it was due to your customer service representative Mary Burke. She was helpful, thoroughly researched the issue, walked me through the options, helped me to submit my order and followed up to make sure that the intended solution worked. In short Mary did something that is rare today, provided real customer service. I forgot to mention that she was a delight. In an age where companies think that product or technology is the driving force behind repeat business, Trek had the good sense to put equal emphasis on Customer Service.

I was uncertain about fender sizing and the Trek website included several different sizes of the SKS Bluemels fenders (which I had used in the past and really liked). So I ordered the 2 sizes I thought would work best. They came well packed in a large box along with a prepaid return label which I used to return the one that did not fit.
