Customer Testimonials
Hayden, sales rep was wonderful, Joey, finance manager was great as well, Melissa who showed us the inside on the pickup date was wonderful. Overall, it was a really good experience 95%, EXCEPT: The final part of us leaving definitely left us feeling as if the overall experience had been ruined, and that was our lasting impression of wow, they took our money and then poof, nobody cared. I'm a dentist and patients judge our business from a person first phone call, to who greets them by phone and brought back by an assistant, to my dental delivery of treatment and then with final payment. All those "chains" points of contact need to be good for the patient to have an overall great experience. Point being.... We found out that there were 2 minor issues, some low fluid and 2 seat belt buckles they were going to replace since they were missing. So, we sat around for an hour plus, no problem, and waited for those items to be rectified. We bought some extra items to go camping and was told they would be taken to the RV for us later as well, which I assumed would be loaded up for us after the service department did what they needed to do. We were later just handed the keys and that was it... nobody bothered to tell us we were good to go, nor where the RV was, not any picture of my wife and I with the RV, nothing, nobody helped escort us out as we went out with a cart full of extras, and had to figure out where the RV was parked, then we discovered the seat belt parts still weren't in the RV, after we had been there all day and were getting very hungry, So we jokingly laughed and said well so much for VIP badge we were wearing and service, so we just take the items from the store we bought and take them to the RV ourselves, without anybody offering to help us. Then we had to lift the cart down off the curb and go find out where our RV not knowing where it was parked. So were excited to get going and saw the seat belt parts still weren't in there, so not knowing what to do, we went back inside and spoke to the girl at the front that handed us our keys and said I don't see any seat belt parts, did they put them in there, She looked and after a while said, no, the service department would have to order them, but nobody notified us of a thing, so then we asked if we could get a copy of that work order, to make sure we would get the parts, and that was almost difficult for her to do, and she said, I'm not sure im able to print you off a copy. So, my wife then asked for a manager, since things were getting a little ridiculous, and I just told her I would take the RV home and meet her later as she waited. I was later told by my wife the girl with the RV manager present then said, "well I have like 9 other people here and I'm busy" as to the reason she didn't take us to the RV nor give us any information such as yes the service department filled the fluids up and the service department didn't replace the seat belt, would you like them to be installed by us, or have them delivered to your house. That was a horrible response, which was an excuse, as to why she didn't do her job, nor did she say she was really busy I'm so sorry, here are your keys, they filled up your fluids and we will have the parts delivered to you, We had to figure all of that out on our own, Yes this overall is a small service issue, and no, we are not uppity kind of people, but the ending experience, could realllly use some training, or simply ask someone else for help if she was feeling overwhelmed with the amount of people she had to help. The translation, and interpretation by us, was, well, I'm busy, you're not really important so "have a nice day" Not really the best ending to an amazing start. I too, am super easy going, Hayden would tell you, super nice guy, amicable, never once discussed finance, nor price, nothing. Same with the finance manager, we had a great time. Only the end persons job really left us with a bad feeling. Not saying these things to get anyone in "trouble" but hopefully as a learning/training experience to help the young lady get better at her job.
Fantastic place to do business !!
Andrew and the rest of the service team in Huntley are fantastic! You're in good hands here.

Everyone that we dealt with was extremely helpful. They new we were on a time crunch. And did what ever was needed to get us on our way. We boondocks in there lot. To transfer from old to new. Upon doing so, we came across three more pressing issues. That morning 5 to six techs were working them. We were on the road in 45 minutes. Thanks to ALL.
Tonia in service was great, she made sure everything got done.
I found them to be very friendly and very very helpful
The sales person in Parts was very helpful and went beyond what you would expect, to give me information about the product that I called about to see if it was carried in stock and had it conveniently waiting for me at the counter when I arrived to purchase it.
We appreciate having our hitch worked on the day we reported a problem.
I have had a great experience working and dealing with all of your staff from sales to service
Thank you
Lori in parts is as usual a very helpful representative for general RV. Thank you, Lori.
We love General RV!
Easy to work with and great communication. Not super pushy sales people
We had some issues with our new Class A. Upon returning they exceeded all expectations on repairs and showed concern for our happiness. We would give them 10 out of 10 stars.
My service advisor was extremely helpful. I talked about my Warranty Forever that I have on my travel trailer.
He followed up on it And he made it happen. Very professional and helpful!
Thanks
Even though the process began a little tense because of sales pressure; when I mentioned it; the sales person backed up and then it went very well. I felt apprecciated. When at financing, he also was patient with me. I would definitely return when ready for an upgrade. Thank you very much.
The whole team made our experience amazing! A huge thanks to Tony, Solomon, Sierra, Dale, John, James and everyone else who helped us find, fund, and receive our new trailer. Dale even came to our house to troubleshoot an electric tongue jack we added on. Amazing people!
Staff very personable
So… at walk thru /pick up of my new fifth wheel they found a hydraulic leak … not only did the fix it .. they compensated me for my long wait!!! I highly recommend them !!! I couldn’t be happier with the outcome !!
The people was very knowledgeable and kind .And took care of our problems with our RV.
Lori at General RV or Richmond, VA was a treat to work with as a service advisor. She was honest, up-front, timely, and even found answers to my less than traditional RV questions. General RV has been very helpful to me as a non-buying customer, still allowing me to service my camper there even though I didn’t buy it from General RV (they do sell my brand though). Customer service is much better than where I bought my camper, and even though General RV is a bit more expensive, it’s worth it for the peace of mind when we get out in our travel trailer.
They took care of us fast.

We purchased a new 5th wheel and the staff wasn't pushy. Didn't feel like a used car lot. When we picked it up, they spent plenty of time going over the entire trailer. As well as how to hook/ unhook a 5th wheel.
