Everyone is very friendly and helpful at the shop.
After the last feedback, where an online order for pickup got lost in the system, the folks at the store went above and beyond to reach out and get things resolved.
That said, there's still something going on with the online ordering system if a store can mark it as picked and the customer doesn't get notified, and the tracking link still says "processing" (still does now after picking the item up). Was it because I didn't have an account? The mix of delivery and pick-up? No idea, and that itself is a problem. And I don't think it's something well captured when feedback for online orders gets accrued to stores. Customers will not understand the distinction of "online shopping at a specific store", especially if the ordering system is still centralized.
So, I trust the folks in the store, but I can't say the same for the online store and the system backing it at the moment. Transparency is ultimately the whole point, especially with these hybrid sales where shipping and retail work together.

I like how everyone is friendly and knowledgeable and not pushy. I was returning a small item and was helped by someone I recognized from the Berkeley store. They helped me not to have FOMO on a Trek road bike I just purchased a month ago, while seeing a new gravel bike in the window, which although very pretty was not right for me. They helped me feel confident in my decision and I was grateful for the guidance.
My only issue with Trek bikes, is although you can get them in size S, M, L etc, the corresponding crank set and handle bar are one size and needs customization to be a true fit.

Excellent customer service and tune up met my expectations. Staff is professional and great listeners. I recommend Trek Eldorado Hills. Staff are knowledgeable and give advice that is helpful. When comparing accessories, they don’t upsell you. In fact, they provide options that may work with your budget.
