Chelsea, at the repair desk, was excellent. I had fallen while going on a roundabout during a ride on my Trek Domane SLR+ on October 17th. She detected several minor problems with my bike and successfully troubleshot and fixed two immediately.
The rear derailleur servo motor had lost track of where it was after the fall. She manually moved the chain, and the servo motor synced up again. The right crank arm seemed to be loose and would not tighten properly. She removed and examined the crank arm and couldn't find any issue. So she cleaned it and reattached it, and it tightened up with no issue.. She then carefully examined all the carbon parts of the bike for any cracks or damage. There are some other minor repairs needed, like a new handlebar wrap, so I left my bike at the store for service.
I am riding in the Oceanside "Bike The Coast" century on November 1st. She scheduled my bike repairs, so it will be ready in plenty of time for the "Bike The Coast" ride. I turn 70 on October 25th, and riding a century ride at 70 is a big deal for me.
I deeply appreciate Chelsea's calm and friendly manner, plus her willingness to explain to me what she was doing and why. Chelsea is truly an outstanding Trek employee. Her excellent service has reaffirmed my belief that Trek is the best bike store in North County.
