I want to give a special shout-out to Lane. I took my Trek Mandone SLR 7 in for its annual all-around check-up. Lane did a masterful job. I don't know what he did to the hub, but the bike now coasts and glides so much faster.
Lane also took the time to visit a website, entering all the measurements of my bike, including my weight, height, and other details, to find the right air pressure I should use in my front and rear tires. It turns out that I'm advised to have 65 lbs in the front tire and 75 lbs in the rear tire. Until then, I had been riding with 60 lbs in both tires. Wow! What a difference! Not only has the change in air pressure significantly improved my speed, but my Madone now rides like silk down steep hills and around corners at high speeds, where it used to shake and shimmy before.
Again, a special thanks to Lane, but all the ladies and guys at the shop are incredible and go out of their way to ensure your special bike remains just that - special.
Everybody there has been extremely helpful and takes the time to explain things clearly and patiently. I like the fact that they encouraged me to come back in or call in for any follow up questions. I felt very confident, satisfied and excited with the purchase of my Trek Checkpoint SL 6. The SRAM 1 x 13 shifts like a dream and I can't wait to spend more time on the bike! And I love the large photo overhanging the counter.
