My experience was extraordinary - my neighbor dusted off an old (6- or 7-year-old) youth bike from his garage; listed as 20 inches; then asked me if I'd like it for my grandson who visits us frequently? So, I wheeled it into Freewheel for a check-up to be sure it would be safe to ride? I was blown away by the attention and care the mechanic gave me as he took this old bike through its paces -- it was awesome. I was expecting doom and gloom and an estimate that would be more than I thought the bike might be worth. But after a few adjustments and a spin of the wheels -- the mechanic's verdict was -- rear brake pads are starting to thin --- but I think I can save it without having to buy a new braking system --- leave it - and we'll text you when you can pick-up. A few days later and a total repair bill of 20 dollars -- I was on my way. Thank you team Freewheel -- for recognizing this old bike wasn't worth much --but it didn't require wholesale repairs either -- your expertise and service with a smile will have this grandfather back in your store -- to buy his first new bike. Its been said we only get one chance to make a good first impression - you sure did for this customer.
