Got all the tests done to make sure I didn't have an immediate life threatening problem.. doctor, nurses and staff was really helpful.
Our doctor called the er and told them we were on our way.
The folks at front desk understood the urgency of getting husband fit with a catheter. They checked him in pronto super fast and radioed to nursing station that he was ready for triage in a super fast manner. We were the only ones in the waiting room. And then we waited, and waited. i then walked to the double doors and watched a man eventually head toward me eating food. I thought to myself that couldn't be our nurse as he was almost walking backwards he was strolling so slow as he headed our way. Snails pace sloooow saunter would be an under statement.
He took us into a room, fit husband with a catheter using NO lidocaine. No KY jelly. My husband experiend extreme pain as a result. EXTREME. After that he Yelled at me when i asked him twice to raise my husbands head “i need his leg at this angle to fit the leg bag”! I didnt ask him to raise his legs, i asked him to raise his head by adjusting the bed or placing a pillow under his head. He tried to discharge us without seeing the dr. Said not necessary. We asked to see the dr anyway and he brought dr in. My husband asked the nurse when the burning at catheter sight would subside. He said he didn’t know. This nurse had no empathy and we were extremely disappointed. Especially considering the stellar patient care my husband received earlier in the day while in your hospital for shoulder surgery.
We called the urologist the following day and learned lidocAine is standard procedure and ky jelly to alleviate pain. I would like to speak with the er mgr regarding this manner. I can be reached at Phone number removed.

I was very much impressed with the whole process from checking in at the front desk, my nurse came to take me to my room. The staff were very professional and work d well together. My anesthesiologist introduced himself to me and explained his part and what to expect. My dr came in and explained what to expect. I was treated royally and I enjoy d the attentiveness of my people. Everyone that I encountered was super friendly! I had Perry and Matthew as my nurses and then had Dr. Janecek who listened to everything that I had to say and took the time to really learn what was going on and answer any questions I had. I had an issue with one of my prescriptions not going through on my pharmacies end and when I called up to the ER, Dr. Arai took care of it right away and made sure that it sent before I got off the phone. Everything was done in a timely manner and I felt that everyone truly cared about helping me.
Our entire experience was wonderful. The staff was caring and accommodating. This was my second time delivering at Baylor Frisco and would highly recommend this hospital to anyone.

The doctor I met whos name was Dr. Charles F. Dryden Jr, was rude and condescending. He made me feel terrible about my situation and seemed since the moment I spoke with him he had already made a biased judgment about me and my character. Since the moment I stepped into that exam room and did not feel like one bit of sympathy from him and I ended up crying because he made me feel like I was crazy. The nurses consoled me and were very kind but I will never go to this ER again.
