The part I needed was apparently back ordered which made the whole process extremely stressful since I have an upcoming race, and I was unsure if I would have my bike back in time. Maybe carry more standard parts in store, so the turn around time could be quicker

I don’t know, Village Cycle Center sold me my first Trek to ride the streets downtown, and I went to the Trek store for my second more advanced bike. I have a lot of good memories with Trek.
They are very nice, and skilled

I'm kind of old, which shouldn't make a difference in the way I'm treated when I need goods and/or services. But many people are condescending to old people. Not at Trek. Your staff has treated me with friendliness and respect.
I had my TREK bike "tuned up". I was told it was a "tune up". I was not made aware of different levels related to "tune ups". I am happy my bike was adjusted. I was aware of the levels at the time I picked up my bike and paid. Then I notices the placarding above where all the service repair workers were.
I think you are missing out on an opportunity to explain your "LEVELS" of service.
I would suggest have a 3 X 5 card and explain to customers what you offer and let them select one of the levels. I thought the text and email notifications were good. Store is clean, workers are friendly and a worker helped me load my bike. Thank you! Name removed
The bike I ride is an older Trek 820. In the last 10 years I've had it in twice for service at the Downers Grove shop. Once for brake cable replacements and a second time this week for rear derailer with cable replacement. Frank, who serviced the bike this second time also checked out the rest of the bike and found 2 stripped screws in the stem collar (I had put on an aftermarket stem extension myself a few years ago) and replaced those also. I truly appreciate the extra effort because he probaby saved me from an accident that would've sent me to the hospital. The mechanics at the Downers shop are outstanding. I also bring my wife's Diamondback there for service. And the cost for service is WAY lower than other shops I've quoted. Very pleased and will continue to patronize the Downers Grove Trek store.
