Fantastic customer service
Really appreciated staff personal attention to details and friendly services. Everyone strived to address all questions, research best options, and provide good advice. Thank you for your great services!
The staff.
The kid that helped me didn’t know additional insight - I could have ordered it online for the same level of support and mediocre knowledge. Sorry - I’m sure it’s just a part time job for the kid. These days, a differentiator for going to a shop is for insight and support.
Quick, knowledgeable, convenient, good price, friendly

The best staff in NOVA
Everyone who works at The Bike Lane has been accommodating and patient with me, who is someone who hasn’t ridden a bike in a number of years and has a bunch of physical limitations. As a nontraditional aspiring athlete I appreciate that so much. Riding my bike used to bring me so much piece of a few years ago, before the pandemic, when I got into a car accident. So I stopped. Slowly, but surely, i’m getting myself back in the saddle, and everybody at The Bike Lane has been kind and encouraging. They hooked me up with the right bike, and they’ve patiently explained to me how to work the new machine and the rack I bought to carry it. If you’ve wanted to get back on a bike, but don’t know where to start, I highly recommend you give The Bike Lane a visit.
I like that the staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and aren’t looking to make a quick sale. Makes me buy more!
I've been here repeatedly and have had mixed results (mostly related to a bike I've had worked on there - a 1994 Trek Single Track 930).
While I haven't specified that I'd like my parts returned - the only time a part was voluntarily returned to me was when it was broken. The parts team has kept spacers, a stem, a wheel, and a fork. All either in good/new condition or something that could be repaired in the case of the wheel. My opinion is that it should be default to return good/new parts to the customer, or at least offer. I assume some level of responsibility for not specifying that I would like the things I paid for and own returned to me.
In addition - when I knew less about my bike, the parts team sold me a non-machined sidewall wheel for a bike that uses v-brakes. The noise this combination makes is so offensive that I choose not to use my rear brake anymore. I would have appreciated being told that a rim brake typically uses MSW wheels, and given the option to use a NMSW wheel if I chose to accept parts that weren't designed with my bikes components in mind.
I didn't find out until I did my own research later that a MSW rim is standard for a bike with rim brakes.
On my most recent visit, I brought my bike into the shop on 3/4 for work, which was completed
on 3/6. I was never notified that the work was completed, I searched through my email and confirmed there was no communication - I ended up calling the shop to check myself on 3/19. (I have been contacted before upon the completion of work and can reference multiple previous emails).
When I picked up the bike and checked out on 3/19, the team emailed me a receipt which arrived within 10 minutes. That confirms to me that I was never contacted to pick up my bike.
On the plus side, regardless of bike, the team has been willing to make small quick adjustments for free.
Great, fast service as always. Popped in for a quick chain replacement and could. It have been happier with the experience!
