I didn’t even buy a bike. I put a deposit on a Trek bike with an initial delivery date of January which then became May. Brent was so great giving me a refund on my deposit.

The first time I brought my bike in, the tire was flat within two days again. I was too busy at the time to bring it back. I just brought it in again with a quote of $140 to replace the left shifter, , tune up and again fix the tire. I was told I would be called if the price was higher.
When I picked up the bike, I was charged $235 dollars. The man lowered it to $209. Which is still much higher than I was quoted, and I recieved no call. What’s so much worse though, and that was bad, is, the shifter was not changed, and the bike is not shifting gears properly. So irritating. So very disappointing.
The efficient handling of each order including the confirmation email is well beyond anything I have ever experienced in the past. It’s good to know that what shows as in stock really is. I received a phone call to confirm some of the things that I had not thought about with regards to having my new bike set up. When I picked up my bike I was not pressured into any other items but the most comforting thing was that I was asked for photo ID and they confirmed that the credit card was mine, no stolen cards will be allowed to slip through here, they care about clients as much if not more then the transaction, I had to drive 1hour and 40 minutes - there are at least two Trek dealers not including a number of independent bike shops between where I live and Sweet Pete’s but based on my experience I have no concerns travelling the distance for future dealings.
