You were very prompt with your service and you made my baby shine again!!
Previous experiences have been good at your shop. This experience was disappointing. I waited over a month to get my bike back after two replacement wheels were back ordered and no one followed up in a timely manner; each time it was me calling in to ask what was up. Another part I had ordered previously (and had been emailed about arrival) was nowhere to be found with no record of the order (I had to find it in my email). I understand summer is busy but someone dropped the ball on this one. I had explained at the outset I need my bike for transportation as a commuter. My bars and lock also came back sticky and my front wheel was flat on receiving my bike back. That said, the consultation/advice and in-person experiences were friendly, knowledgeable and professional, the timing and follow-through was unfortunate in this case.
We like the service, and, of the 5 or so bikes shops in downtown Toronto that I surveyed online, only Sweet Pete's had the item I needed.
Quick - Reliable - Easy to track
The bike repair service worker (I forgot the name! But the person training the new employee) was very helpful and knowledgeable, and just awesome.
You carry a very complete range of products. And always have available the chat line or leave a message option, which allows us to ask questions about the products, and I've always received good info and input from Sweet Pete's rep. And that gives me confidence to go ahead with purchase.

It would be great if your would offer more PFA-free (without forever chemicals) products and if there would be more detailed information of product materials (PFAs,PVC) available.
Most manufacturers use PFAs for waterproofing DWRs in clothes, but also in bicycle bags, panniers etc. I know of Vaude and Deuter products to be PFA-free, but other brands such as Trek seem to have some products that are PFA-free as well. It is a bit cumbersome and time-consuming to research the product materials and PFA-usage of different makers, so it would be great if information regarding the use of PFAs in products would be on the website (ideally as a filter so we can filter for PFA-free products).
I think Swete Pete's is one of the best if not the best bike store in TO, Great customer service!

Many things disappointed us.
When we walked no one greeted us even though there were around 3 or 4 at the counter just talking among themselves.
When we asked for help the guy didn't know much details about the bike.
I asked about putting a child seat at the back and was told yes it can take it.
When we picked up the bike the serial number didn't match the receipt.
Workers should have a list of what to check before handing over stuff.
Once home I tried installing my kid's seat and to my disappointment it doesn't fit and that's the reason why I switched to an electric bike so it can be easier for me to get around with my kid.
Overall not great service
Workers should know what they're offering and how it works to show clientw.
Good selection of parts and tools especially for older bikes. Pretty good, functional website and and very prompt delivery and communications.
