My experience overall was satisfactory. I was welcomed by a seller that apparently didn’t have a lot of experience but was very polite. There was a hiccup with another seller that was not wearing his mask appropriately (covering only his chin) and appeared to be unwilling to accept my trade-in bike (the main reason I chose McGhie’s). But it all went well and I really love my new bike.
The first mechanic that worked on the bike didn’t seem to have a lot of experience either, but was very nice as well - and I really value customer care. The gears were all messed up. The next day we took the bike back and another mechanic adjusted it - now it’s perfect.
I recommend McGhie’s first for their trade-in service, that is a huge plus compared to other bike shops. Second for the politeness I had from some of the staff. I could realize the moment was not the best - covid taking a toll on everyone and very few bikes in stock, but they tried to do their best - all facts considered.
