I went into Jax to buy a kick stand for my grandson’s bike. They looked in the back and decided there were too many variations to just sell a kickstand without the bike present. I went and got the bike, stuffed it in my trunk (have a minivan, so that was possible, with help) and returned.
They got the bike out, found the best option, and installed it at no extra charge. I bought a water bottle holder which was also installed free.
I had been here before for different bike reasons and have always been happy with product and service. I see they have a wide range of electric bikes now, too.

I was very happy to find an older 10-speed derailleur at Jax Bicycle Center, and they processed and shipped the product very quickly. AND they even called me to make sure everything was fine with my order. Top-notch service!

We needed a tune-up on an old bike, for my son who lives in LA. However, timing was tight as we have a planned road trip in a few days. Initially, I was told they were unable to complete the tune-up before we left on the road trip. That was fine, but we wouldn't be ablet to pick up the bike until we returned from the trip (our son would just need to wait). After getting home I received a call from I believe Vincent (?). He mentioned that he overheard my conversation, and said he would find time to complete the tune-up that day. The job was completed same-day and it made my son's day to be able to get the bike before we left on the road trip. That is first class customer service!! The first person I worked with was also very good (timely review of the bike and assessed needs to get it back up to good shape). Very impressed with the staff and service at Jax!!!!

Staff were very helpful- I was starting from scratch to pick out a bike after not riding for 20+ years. They encouraged me to try as many bikes/styles as I needed and ultimately ended up happier than I thought I would be with my purchase. I have a lot of comfort knowing if anything comes up with the bike, I can come back to the store for help.

Jeff listened to me. No, no - I actually mean LISTENED! Then he matched me with exactly the right bike for me. We stopped talking and started riding at that point. I’m old-er and have a lot of two wheel experience. Bought a lot of bikes in my time. But this was my first e-bike. They aren’t cheap and you really don’t want to spend that kind of money and be unhappy with the purchase.
I haven’t been this satisfied with a bike since the 70’s, when I got my first ten-speed and a paper route! So, yes - I highly recommend Jax. Just go in sometime and look around. You will see the professionalism that makes this the Go To shop in SoCal.
Great service on my recent tune-up and tube replacement. I really like the FlatPack tube service they offer. Can’t beat it. The products sold in Jax are great quality and competitively priced. I would prefer to buy from my local bicycle shop than online. The technicians are very friendly and knowledgeable. Very service oriented. I couldn’t ask for a better experience.
Mechanics are very astute and do not try to upsell… Nick and Braxton in particular are my go-to’s.

I had a great experience with Paul, who went above and beyond to help me decide on which bike to get. I walked out feeling much more informed and confident that purchasing a trek bike was the right move. Paul was very welcoming and helped me choose a proper helmet, a strong bike lock (a previous one I owned had been cut through before), and proper lights for the bike. I took my new trek AL3 out to the Back Bay loop for my first ride and it felt so smooth. Five stars for Paul!
