Best bike shop in SoCal ! Without a doubt. Best products, best service and best customer service. I moved here from NYC in the mid 80’s, and been using Helens since I arrive! Love Helens!!
A large selection of all different types of bikes is available in store. The store people are helpful and patient.
Repair shop and front desk don't always agree on service costs. I got the $160 ultra tune-up thing, and the repairperson asked about replacing brakes. I asked what the cost would be, and the repairperson said just the material and that labor for replacement was included. Then when I came to pay, the charges at the front desk included brake replacement. They told me that brake replacement labor isn't included because the tune-up doesn't include removing the brakes. I shared my check-in experience, and they refunded me the labor cost.

Friendly and fast, efficient service with very competitive pricing. Staff took my calls after hours as well as when they were not at work.
Some of the employees forget that the neighborhood customers in 30 minutes drop a couple of thousands on just accessories… as a successful self made customer, I think that those particular employees need to be more attentive and appreciative of the business and the privilege of having a job.
