Great to deal with someone that knows bikes and what works for what you want. The standard rule of thumb just doesn't always work. The repairman knew what I needed and made my bike comfortable to ride.

I had a great overall experience. It took a bit longer than expected to get my bike, but once they got it, they rushed to assemble it for pickup as soon as they got it so I would have it to go camping that weekend. When I picked it up, they went over everything in depth so I had a solid basis of knowledge, as the bike I got was my first full suspension mtn bike. Friendly and courteous staff.

I'm impressed with the customer service from Golden Bear Bikes. On my first-ever visit to the store, they were quite helpful, and quickly found the right bike for my size and intended uses. As luck would have it, a good hybrid bike my size and in my price range was in the back waiting to be assembled and still unspoken for. They gave me first dibs on it after assembly, so I came back a couple days later after it had been assembled, tested it out, and walked out a new bike owner! I feel quite fortunate, as I know it's taking most people months to order a bike right now. It also feels good to support a small, local bike shop, and to know I can take it there easily for future repair needs, too. I definitely recommend people in the Broomfield area check out Golden Bear Bikes.
Staff is friendly and often times generous with their time. I am not pleased with how many repairs I had to make on my Trek Mountain bike within one year of me buying it new. 3 spokes pedals and crank arm. within a year.
The store is laid out very nice. I like that the show room area is not over stocked of bikes (even in pre-pandemic) like my other local store Derby Bicycle. It makes shopping less intense of an experience.

Eric is awesome at giving the details and they all got me out of there at least a $100 less than I expected for the repairs! Top notch! I’ll be going back for service and as soon as 29r hardtails are back in the supply chain!
Customer service was excellent from the time we entered the door. We were able to place a hold on a future arriving order of bikes. The bike came in earlier than expected. We were then contacted right away and picked it up same day. The bike was a little big for my son, and they took the time to customize for a better fit.
I would highly recommend checking them out.
