Jon and Roman were great! It was easy to get my new bicycle scheduled for assembly with Jon, Roman walked through all of the accessories I needed and even got them installed for me! Very pleased and excited to have a local shop to go to when necessary.
I was kinda anxious about walking in. At a different bike shop, mechanic threw me out for having a 'garbage and trash' bicycle. But Kristen was really sweet and helpful. Said my bike was just fine, cute, and did what it was made to do - go down the road.

Customer service and willingness to accommodate
Ordered a shock through Elevation Cycles and it was a quick and easy transaction. Knowledgeable sales staff, answered all my questions, quick to answer the phone, fast shipping, painless pickup. Not much else to say, seems like a solid local shop.
I was able to bring my mountain bike in for a tune-up and to replace a couple of minor parts without an appointment. The work was all done within about 4-5 days, which was great.
I liked how the bike mechanic walked me through everything he was going to do before I left it with them. The cost of the service was reasonable and in line with other bike shops in the area.
I was also able to find a bunch of other items I needed like locks, padded shorts, water bladder, etc.
The location downtown was very easy for me to get to as you can just ride along the cherry creek bike trail and pop off around Wewatta/Wynkoop.
Elevation Cycle is a great neighborhood bike shop, every time I have even the slightest of issues I can always trust that the service team will give me prompt, honest recommendations on what to do. And even during the pandemic I have been able to get both routine and pop-up maintenance addressed in a timely manner.

Bought a new bike from this shop, and it came with a defective tube that leaked air. I brought it in to get fixed, and was given the distinct impression that I should extremely grateful that the shop was willing to cover the cost of replacing a $10 tube. Seemed really cheap and not a terrific customer service experience.
That said, the big problem -- and the reason I'm submitting this negative feedback -- came when I got home and lifted the bike to lock it up in my garage. The rear wheel fell off completely! Incomprehensibly the service team did not tighten the rear wheel's hub properly!
I'm very fortunate that I caught this gross negligence while hanging the bike in my garage rather than while out on the road.

Elevation and all of the people we worked with throughout our process there (Jonathan, Sam, and Kyle) were incredibly helpful and we will definitely recommend them to others in the future. We were still newer to the world of bikes and they were able to steer us in the right direction within our budget (and got creative to help out with the smaller amount of inventory they have due to everyone wanting to buy a bike since the start of covid!) We were very happy with our experience and love our bikes! Thank you to the Elevation crew for an all around great experience.
